I love these guys!

i have been a member back in 2008 and I remember your first show "the digital photography show".... I wrote to the show about dye sublimation printers. I use to be an Event photographer and I finally purchased the Mitsubishi Printer. Its print fast and very nice photos.... I am glad you are back and I hope you guys will stay!! I really love driving and listening to your podcast... I get to hear all the new things in the Dslr photography world... Keep up the good work!

Just like the Podcasters I have lost interest... this time for good

I stumbled across this show over a year ago and really enjoyed them. However when they went on their previuos hiatus without any explanation I finally gave up and unsubsribed, then discovered that they were back. Sometimes distance improves your perspective.. I enjoyed a couple of the new shows but the last show was not very interesting. Now they have dissappeared again without explanantion. This time the show goes off my list and stays off regardless of whether a new show comes back on. For those of you that still want a good photography podcast, I would highly recommend Tips From the Top Floor. He consistently broadcasts and I always enjoy his perspectives....

Do they even know they r being recorded?

The worst show ever! It sounds like the hosts are just talking. There is no Point to their conversations. One of the hosts sounds as if he dosent know where his sentance is going. He keeps saying uhm and ah. The guys don't really want To be there. So horrible.

Totally inconsistent

Just not the same show anymore. Obviously there are personal issues. It's time to move on, and, frankly, there are many far better photography podcasts out there.

AWOL: Why are you no longer doing your podcast?

I previously had rated this podcast 5 stars and have listened and enjoyed almost every program. But We've only had 1 podcast in 5 weeks and before that there was another long wait without any explanation. I get the impression that Scott Sherman and Michael Stein have personal problems that are preventing this. In the past, Michael Stein has dominated the show and over riding Michael so often that it gets irritating to any sensitive listener. I wish they would either produce podcasts at lest 2 or 3 times a month and move on with it or just inform all of the subscribers like me that the program has ceased to exist. This was my favorite podcast until the abruptly and without explanation quit producing the programs. I'd welcome them back and give them a 5 star rating again if they could just get on with it. I really do want them back.

I discovered Michael and Scott's podcast in September 2009 and have been busy catching up with the previous podcasts. They, along with their guests, are very entertaining and informative.

Disappointing

Posted a lengthier review last week, but for some reason it is not showing up here. To summarize, I used to be a huge fan of the old show but over time it became more boring. I was hoping that this new show would change things, but it’s pretty much the same old show with a different name. Shows are long usually due to senseless banter being included. The hosts wander off topic a lot and don’t stay focused. I must compliment the hosts on securing good quality guests. Unfortunately the interviews fall apart a bit primarily due to the fact that Scott is interviewing in stead of Michael (who does a much better job IMHO). Scott's facts are often incorrect (some other reviewers pointed out examples) and he makes lots of senseless comments. He likes to talk a lot about himself and wonders off topic constantly, which is very annoying.

...until it just stopped. I've tried contacting Michael & Scott by Twitter Message and email, but get no response. Scott's blog hasn't been updated in months. So, I'm at a loss for what happened - I can't even guess why it stopped abruptly.

Host gets on a hobby horse and goes. Too little content

Some of the content is interesting. Unfortunately the lead host goes on and on....without saying anything. The show would be worthwhile if they edited it down to 1/3 of its length. Prepare ahead of time!

Another podcast sunk by lack of commitment...

It's the typical Arc-O-The-Podcast. From one show a week, to a show *pretty much* every week, to missing a week here and there, to going two weeks ... and now DPL is in the final throes of the doomed podcast; "Huh. It's been almost two months." A pity.

Almost Unlistenable...

Sounds like a couple of guys at a camera store arguing about gear. The interviews are a little better. The hosts are likeable but Scott tends to bully Michael. They could EASILY edit out about 25% of the repetition and general blather. Good topics but they need to focus their presentation.

This show has sunk

I used to look forward so much to the new shows, the old one and the new one. But new shows come out so randomnly time wise, and then you wait for a new one and its not even about photography.. Disappointing.

This is the first podcast I've ever taken the time to stop and write. I'm an not compeletly new to digital photography, but I'm by far a professional - this podcast is extremely informative. I hope these guys go on forever! Thanks guys!!

Great Podcast

Michael and Scott make for a great team. They do have their issues but most of the time they agree. The people they bring in for certain topic's are fantastic and you can learn alot from listening to the show and to the guests. This podcast is one of the better ones on itunes and you will learn a great deal from listening to Michael and Scott. Keep the podcasts coming! Thanks.

I was a regular listener to the older podcast and was really happy to see you guys are back. Your show is always interesting and refreshingly casual. Scott is an excellent interviewer with insightful and humurous interviews. I strongly recommend this podcast to all photography enthusiasts out there.

I'm done with this podcast.

I always feel tense while listening to these guys. I can't take it anymore. Scott is rude to Michael and treats him like a lesser person. Heaven forbid if Michael disagrees with Scott. Who does a podcast like this? It's unbelievable. Other reviewers have verified this too. Scott shows no sense of humor either. He interviewed Rick Sammon. Rick tried joking around with Scott, but Scott didn't get it, which made me as a listener feel uncomfortable for the guest. Poor Rick was trying to chuckle and Scott just kept talking as if there was no time for jokes. Very tacky. Very awkward. Scott goes off on tangents totally unrelated to the topic, like his stint on other life forms in the universe. I've unsubscribed to this podcast and will search for others that will actually teach me something. Very unprofessional performance.

I've followed this podcast through it's previous incarnation to date and I'm giving up... After the last episode, listening to Scott waste 10 minutes pitching a hissy over the DP Review rating of the 5D MkII, talk down to his co-host because Michael dared to have an opinion Scott didn't share, and the interminable SmugMug plugs, I'm done. Canceled my subscription, erased from iTunes, gone forever AFAIC. Sad, because in the past these guys put together a really entertaining and informative 'cast. But I guess everything has to run its course. Kinda reminds me of the X-Files after season 4.

Great photography podcast!

Listening to Michael and Scott is like sitting around with a couple of friends talking photography. The show provides the right mix of news, tips, reviews, and interviews with great guests, all done in a relaxed style. It is great to just listen to a couple of real photo enthusiasts discuss their passion for photography. Keep up the great work guys!

I use to listen to your other pod cast and was very sad when you went off the air. I was listening to TWIP the other day and they mentioned you guys and here you are. This is one of the best photography pod cast around and I listen to more then 20 photography pod cast.

My favorite photography podcast!

I discovered Michael and Scott on their previous podcast, and have been listening to Digital Photography Life since Episode 000 came out. I think the guys have stepped up their game - this is a fantastic podcast. They address photographers at all levels - not just amateurs or pros. I always learn something from each podcast, and they inspire me to shoot more (and better) photos. I love their guests, and the rapport they build with each guest makes it more like a friendly chat than an interview. This is a GREAT podcast!!!

I'm hooked

I'm very picky when it comes to listening to my pod casts. I have had may casts that I subscribe to and then end up deleting them after a very short period of time. Michael and Scott do a great job of mixing things up and have great guests for the show. I have only been listening for 2 weeks now and just finished all eleven casts and have found it very helpful and inspirational. Keep up the great work!

Not great, but I am still listening

The content is ok, but the show could use better audio editing. For example, play the annoying theme music quietly as background for the introductions and normalize the levels between different clips. Warning: The Smugmug advertisements are quite a bit louder than the rest of the show.

I've always enjoyed this podcast from the TPN days. These guys have a great rapport going and they are not the typical sort of fanboys that talk just about 1 or 2 certain camera models.

This is a great podcast! Scott and Michael are down to earth photography enthusiasts who are fun to listen to. They have great suggestions and great guests on their show all while putting forth an enjoyable, informative hour or so photography tips, news, etc. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone interested in digital photography at any level.

These guys are great! They are just your average fun loving photograhy nuts. They don't just talk about gear, or just processing, or just anything. They'll cover just about anything in the photography universe. They frequently interview big names in the photo world.

Enjoyable podcast for digital photography

This podcast is great for anyone wanting to learn more about digital photography. The hosts are very personable and knowledgable, plus they get a lot of good guest interviews from the industry. I have tried many digital photography podcasts and this is the only one I listen to on a regular basis.
