I love this show so much it’s such a good show with all the wonderful dogs and Renee and Alexis do such a great job hosting. I’m so sad it ended 😭and during this I have laughed and cried again my favorite podcast. I only gave it 5 stars because it was the maximum I could. I just adore this show, and I recommend it even to folks who aren’t dog obsessed. Its just so enjoyable to unwind to. I’ve listened to it from the beginning, and these ladies are just the best. They are so kind to one another, supportive and charming, and their love for their pups shines through. It’s clean but funny—the vibe is always “loving and goofy”. Great after a long day or when you’re having trouble sleeping. Personally, when Renee took the step from dog wanter to dog haver, I was prepping to do the same, and it gave me some courage to finally do!! Afterward, it helped that Renee was just a few steps ahead of me hitting doggy milestones and blazing the trail. It helped me to feel less alone navigating new dog ownership and also to avoid a few common mistakes. Thanks ladies!!!!!

I have been listening to this podcast for a while now and decided to write in. I am still playing catch up with the episodes. I love how excited and genuine the hosts are about dogs. The only thing that seems off is when they have special guests who doesn’t own a dog or not have much experience with dogs. It’s like digging deep for them to state how they feel about dogs. However, having guests who do love dogs is so fun to hear their experiences and I love the naming a fictitious dog breed and sex. So many great dog names!

Renee and Alexis hit it out of the park every time. This podcast never fails to make me at least a little happier.

An absolute joy to listen to every week! Since I moved for college I listen to this show whenever I miss my dog (basically, all the time)! Also: I am CONVINCED that the hosts are just dogs in human suits.

I’d listened to this podcast a few times before, but last summer when I finally took steps to acquire my own dog, I started listening to episodes back to back, any time I had a spare moment. I started from the beginning, because I wanted to hear Renee’s journey to getting Tugboat, and it did not disappoint! My favorite moment with this podcast is a moment when I was on a walk and Renee was 10 days into having Tug in her life and feeling overwhelmed and wondering if it would ever get easier. Well, it happened that as I was hearing that, I was also 10 days into having my puppy Georgie, and it was also hard (and has indeed gotten much easier since then), and I cried with relief just from the validation and encouragement! Thank you, CIPYD, for having such a great podcast and top notch Facebook community!

I have owned 19 dogs as an adult—the most at one time was 7 dogs. Many rescues, especially seniors, and sizes from 7 lb mini-dachshunds to 90 lb German Shepherd dogs: I cannot live without them! I love this podcast because of the unbridled enthusiasm for all kinds of dogs and the joy they bring to life. Such fun and the hosts are the best!!

I want a dog so bad and when I can’t stop thinking about dogs I just put this on and hear other people talk about how much they love dogs and it makes me feel normal.
