I have started saying “woohoo!” when a new play drops
LATW really “works”. In the obvious ways such as synergy of a cast, or production. It also works in the manner to which the plays are curated it all “works” together. LATW “works” the notion of what a podcast can be. The vast array of different subject matter could be called “the works”. These plays often spark my curiosity and I end up deep diving into a subject such as history or science. They create intellectually satisfying entertainment. Thank you LATW!

    @The Future of Theater
Ideas and productions of this quality don’t just get made from thin air. Support the artists, be a patron, there is so much more meaning behind these productions than your own enjoyment, that is just a coincidental byproduct. That said, these podcasts are an excellent introduction to the rich storytelling in the LA community

So freaking good. I honestly don’t even go to the theatre anymore. This show, Lantern Theatre, American Theatre… All the best theatre is free on Apple Pods.

    Blown away
I just started listening to this podcast after reading about it in the newspaper (yes, I still read newspapers). I have listened to the Relativity Series End Days and Stick Fly and I was blown away by each show’s ability to take me to another world. The acting and writing were so so good. Definitely worth a listen.

    Great Great Show
This is an exceptionally well-acted group of plays. It is always top notch acting. Even those plays I might get bored with while reading a screenplay come alive when acted out here. I listen to a lot of podcasts at work as a sort of background, but this one I only listen to if I can give it my full attention. Thank you LA Theatre Works!

    Moving!
Always enjoy the podcast but the two Relativity- Copenhagen episodes have been my favorites. Incredibly moving and enchanting. Made me want to brush up on physics and the history of the bomb. True talent to break the science down like that so it’s fascinating and understandable.

    Talented voice actors, marvelous plays
What a gift! Free listens to wonderful plays and talented performers. I used to attend live LATW takings when I lived in Los Angeles. I listen to every episode. Thank you!

    I can't stand these ads
This is high quality audio drama, but every ~15 minutes, you have to listen to the same advertisement for Ziprecruiter. If you're counting, that means you hear the same advertisement 8 times to listen to a single play. I'm so sick of this same advertisement.

    Must listen
Some of the best storytelling I've heard in forever. A great mix of subjects and storylines. The actors will draw you into the world of each play through the audio alone. Amazing!

    Favorite new podcast
I get so lost in these stories. I can't wait for this to update on Thursdays. I do try and wait until the entire play has been released and binge. Such a great way to increase knowledge of modern theater. Beautiful productions.

Great content; too long between installments
It's a delight to have LATW available again as a podcast. However, the installments are too brief to give this podcast a great review. Commercials are totally understandable, as LATW deserves to monetize this content, but can we have an entire play offered once every two weeks, possibly?

I just binged Becky Shaw and now want to write like Gina Gionfiddo. I was blown away by the script and the acting. Can't wait to hear more! LA Theater Works is doing a fantastic thing. We need this.

    Amazing!
I really enjoy listening to these plays. The voices are so expressive that you don't need to see the show! Can't wait to see what's next.

    Can't believe I like it
I'm a old cowboy and I get a kick out of this podcast and if I ever get to LA I'm stopping by.

    Great plays, bad descriptions
The plays and the productions are great, but... why don't you mention the names of the actors and the playwrights in your episode descriptions? I mean, if you mentioned that you have Chris Rock, Bobby Cannavale and Marsha Mason on your show, I think you'd get a lot more listeners. Just a thought.

    Great podcast
I love it! Especially 'the boy' the podcast really places you in the story and makes you think!

    Wonderful!!! But one little problem
I'm thrilled about this podcast. I've listened to plays by this same group (LA Theatre works) in the past on audible and always wished for more. High quality productions with great actors and some truly great choices in plays. If you like plays you really can't go wrong with this. The first installment is fantastic and I'm eagerly awaiting more. What a treat! - need to add one bit of criticism. The length of time between installments of acts of the plays is super frustrating. I don't understand why. My advice to all is just wait till all parts of each play are offered before starting. Waiting a week for the next 20 minutes is unpleasant and ruins the experience. It's a play. Not a television series meant to be consumed in weekly installments. It's like watching a film but every 20-25 minutes you have to stop and wait a week.

Long, interrupting commercials ruined a great program
Wow, I was thrilled to listen to part one of Becky Shaw and then a long commercial pulled me right out of the production. I listen to lots of podcasts and they all have commercials but they place them at the beginning and the end. To place a long commerical in between scenes of a play? And it was a long commercial. I want to listen to the rest of the play but I probably won't as it was frustrating.

    Awesome content, awesome project!
This is a great production! Really enjoyed Becky Shaw and look forward to what they have coming up next. I'm glad to see radio dramas making a comeback. I'm downloading the app now.

    Really Good
The first entry, Becky Shaw, was really well written. This is what plays should be. Also great acting from the max, Susie, and Becky characters. Well, really all the actors were pretty good. I'm very excited for the next play!
