    The acting is….
I started listening to this podcast after listening the Limetown, White Vault, and Old Gods….. the acting in the podcast is awful. I kept listening hoping it would get better, but the acting was so bad, it made the good storyline bad. I had to stop listening after 4 episodes.

Nowhere to talk about the show online, just want to say i hate the girlfriend in season 2
She seems to be the worst person and is so whiny too, the rest of the shows good though. First season better than the second because of how it suddenly switches casts and doesnt seem to have any connections to season one til several episodes in (like halfway) Edit: been waiting for season 3 forever now, they announced it back in November 2020 and have seemingly had radio silence ever since. Not a single word about it since then as far as i can tell. Hopefully its still happening and not just quietly cancelled

    Good show
I downloaded the first 3 episodes and really liked the show but from episode 4 and on I couldn’t download any of it as if there’s a problem with the RSS feed? Maybe I can find it somewhere other than apple podcasts to finish it. Would have given it a higher rating if I could have finished it

    Horrible
I don’t know who they paid to get good reviews on this podcast but it is horrible, the acting is terrible, plot is predictable, the whole thing was just not a good experience all together. There are plenty of other horror audio drama podcasts that are actually well produced and have amazing acting. Please don’t waste your time.

    Quirky
When I started listening to this I thought the acting was pretty horrible but the writing was good. Then I realized this was more quirky than anything else and was a throwback to the 80s horror genre. By the way, Pacific sounds hot...JS

    Fake but interesting
You can tell this is fake due to the acting. Some of the acting is great but most of it sounds like someone is clearly reading lines from a page, kind of amateur. BUT the story does start to draw you in pretty quickly and once you’re hooked, it’s really fun to listen to.

    Great for teens
Great podcast for teens. This podcast is really interesting and they recommend a lot of other good shows! First season is great, second falls a little short. But overall great podcast!! Where is season 3???

    Love Season 1
Season 1 felt like an old thriller movie. Sure, it was kind of cheesy but it was teens in the woods, trespassing in an abandoned summer camp that was apparently full of monsters. It was fun, I had a great time. Then season 2 came... don’t get me wrong, it’s not horrible but I also wouldn’t say it was good. It felt like a big downgrade from the first season and the acting wasn’t great either. Wish they had stuck with the format of the first season for the second season but what can you do?

    Story good. Acting is bad
I appreciate and respect scripted horror podcasts. The story is good. But i’m sorry the voice acting is so bad. But hey at least they have a podcast and are creating content. They are doing more than i am!

1st season GREAT 2nd lacks something
The first season of this show is pretty great. Yes the acting is a little rough but hey it’s a podcast. The story line is fun to follow and leaves you wanting more. The second season starts off leaving you confused wondering what this has to do with anything previously played. I wish the theme of season one could have continued more into season 2.

    Intriguing story, terrible acting
I really wanted to like Lake Clarity. The setting is standard (spooky abandoned summer camp), but the story itself manages to be pretty interesting. However, the acting is terrible. Really terrible. Like, not believable as human beings terrible. I listened to the whole first season and I did want to know more about what happened, but I just couldn’t take any more of the voice acting.

    Ok story, terrible acting
This is a bit of an odd podcast, but it keeps me listening. The story is pretty good, but the acting is pretty bad.

    Well Put-together
I really enjoyed the first season. Still haven't finished the second, but eager to find the time tio get back to the Lake and Frozen Dead Guy Days!
  • dhsauers
    It’s ok
The story is interesting but some of the actors need to take 20-25% off’er. A little bit overly enthusiastic. The beeps in between scenes are kind of annoying, too, though I understand they’re there to signify moving to a new scene.

    High school project-level acting
It sounds like they’re suppressing an urge to giggle the entire time. I won’t suppress my urge for to unsubscribe.

    Love this podcast BUT
This is a fantastic podcast but the music is so distracting and doesn't fit. There's really no need for it and it makes it hard to hear the voice. Again, I do love this podcast.

    So good!
I enjoyed the first season. When I started the second one I was iffy about it but after finishing the entire thing I am dying for season 3 to start.

    Amazing
This is such a fun podcast - the story is awesome! I can’t wait until Season 3 🙂

    Disappointed
Once again another form of media that had potential in my eyes until until I got to season 2. It’s a shame on how so many good forms of media have to scream I support lgbt or we put I lesbian couple here to pander to lgbt agenda. I’m sick of this.

    Dialogue needs work
Overwrought and unbelievable dialogue tanks what could've been an interesting concept. Unsubbed after 8 episodes. Better content out there.

    Difficult Audio
This one is hard for me to enjoy because the sound levels are all over the place. I listen to podcasts on my daily bus ride and typically have no problem finding a comfortable volume level. With this show my hand was constantly on the volume button, one moment I can barely hear the actor and in the next I am blasted with overly loud sfx or over eager acting. For example, when the ranger is interviewing the survivor I can not hear her even at top volume, the survivor yells and I can’t adjust the volume quickly enough then I miss what the ranger says. It’s very difficult to enjoy. I will give season 2 a shot to see if they get it normalized a little, if not I will have to stop listening.

    Eeep
They really did their best - my favorite part was when one kid had the right grammar in a sentence and another one "corrected" him to the improper grammar. I don't think it was a joke. It reminds me of the kind of stories I wrote in grade school or Junior high. But they actually did it and I have no motivation to do anything better. So if you don't mind bad acting, poorly edited content and terribly written dialogue then this is for you!

    I’m pretty scared
I listen to @GirlinSpace and this was recommended by the host. Though the first few episodes had me eye-rolling a little (kinda cheesy), by Ep.3 or Ep.4 I was legitimately scared. Sound effects are good, dialogue needs tightened a little, but the story is terrifyingly mysterious, and I blazed through Season 1 in one evening. Looking forward to hearing more from Don and I’ll probably listen to Erin’s interview as well. Nice work.

    Creepy Campground
Lake Clarity is the continuing story of a small town in Colorado which has a closed campground with a sordid history nearby. The first season was pretty brutal. The second season alternates between the kitsch of the town and unravelling the mystery. It is an entertaining listen.

    Amazing!
Listened to this at work over a couple of days. Can’t wait to hear even more

    Loving The Lake!!
This is a really fun show. A little creepy, a little funny. Great writing. Really good voice actors.

    Pretty campy but still good
The story moves along well, the telling is fairly clear and good... it’s almost like a good coffee: an aromatic blend of originality and established ingredients that puts a nice taste in your mouth without being overly strong or pungent. Keep it up guys!

    It’s okay
Season one is a short listen, there were some cringey moments but I breezed though it pretty fast. My biggest complaint would be I had a hard time distinguishing the male characters. So overall pretty good. Season two starts off with an interesting set up, a journalist wanders into town and discovers the drama and some shadowy people discover her. Except it’s bad. The voice acting is atrocious. Especially the doctor. And the scene where Sam is discussing her missing-presumed dead sister made me laugh. No one can portray drama. It’s too bad, if this had better production it could be stellar.
  • CleisReviews
    Slow, formulaic, uninteresting.
The first season was tolerable, I’d utterly predictable and formulaic. By the time I have up on season 2 they were 7 episodes in and had literally not moved the plot forward from where season 1 ended at all. There’s podcasts where things actually happen. Maybe try those instead.

    Young Adult Goodness
I dig this one. Sometimes it’s a bit YA in feel, but for me that’s part of its charm. They use clever ideas to bring the story about (reasons why it’s recorded) appreciate that. I’m very much intrigued with the complexities that are unfolding and will continue to listen.

    Skip it
M always hunting for radio dramas and pretty tolerant of them. A good yarn is all I’m after. But Lake Clarity is a disappointment. The acting is so forced and over the top it’s tough to listen to, as are the sound effects like the monster in season 1. Skip it. There’s better stuff to spend your listening time on.

    Great Horror
Lake Clarity started out as a great creepy teenagers in the woods horror story, but as the mystery and overall shiver factor deepened, it became so much more. A great show full of chills and surprises!

Curious to see how this develops
Just finished episode 3, it's definitely an interesting podcast. Though some of the dialogue can come off as stilted and a little awkward at times- like they aren't actually talking to each other, the characters overall feel like real teenagers. They're goofy, awkward, and a little reckless. But you can't help but like them. Knowing this is a horror podcast makes this fact all the more impactful and I appreciate how much time was spent to develop these people and make the audience care about their wellbeing. All in all, the flaws in this podcast are all things that can be fixed with time and experience, I recommend giving it a chance if you're a fan of character driven stories.

    More than what I thought
This podcast is a good, fun romp in the found footage genre that’s got some tasty twists.

    Spooky gem
A spooky litlte gem of a show, Lake Clarity has me hooked on finding out what goes on in the little (real, apparently??) town of Nederlands and Lake Clarity nearby. Occasionally, the dialogue or editing in conversation is a little shaky in the first season, but this definitely tightens up in the second season. I NEED TO KNOW. You live in dread for the main characters every time. And the sound effects are top notch.
  • Podcast Elitist
    Cool Story, Poor Acting
The acting is...cringe-worthy at times. Okay, it's cringe-worthy pretty much every episode with mis-steps, unrealistic dialogue, and clearly scripted execution. The interesting story is the only thing keeping me from unsubscribing.

I like this show. Easy to listen to, clear and well paced. Good stuff!

The Spooky Cabin in the Woods
This show is the fun haunted house you remember from the 80's, where the blood flows like waterfalls and the monster is actually pretty darn spooky!

    Season 2!!!
Lake Clarity was, at first, what I though it might be, a horror tale about teenagers who explore around a spooky town and haunted(?) lake. But then it became something else. Season 2 blew my expectations away as we began with new characters approaching the events of Season 1 from a radically different angle. This made for more entertaining storytelling and I found myself excited to embrace the conceit of a radio journalist recording her notes. Pumped for new episodes!
  • Ykczwtomnczsygs
    Terrible audio mixing
The story is OK but it's hard to listen when one minute you can't hear what someone is saying and the next your ear is bleeding from some stupid obnoxious loud sound effect or screaming. The audio is literally clipping. Whoever is mastering this podcast is awful!
