    Entertaining & fun
Korey, Martin, Oz & the two Julienne’s play off each other both complimentary & contradictory. Trusted reviews, trailer analysis & good fun foolishness. Will put a smile on your face & you might learn something.

Ignorant. Sexist. Racist. Korey is evil
He screams at women and berates them. He’s homophobic and racist. I refuse to listen to this. It stinks anyway.

    Great conversational podcast
Great conversations about film and media. These guys always provide a good laugh for those that don’t take life too seriously. The crew is great at engaging its audience with live shows and meeting up with fans who visit Austin. If you’re just looking for reviews go to their YouTube reviews they are edited down. If you are in for the long journey tune in and be ready to laugh.

    It’s okay
Funny at times but very long winded and juvenile at others. Fast forward and hour and a half if you want to get to the actual show. They tend to include equipment set up during the show to pad it out. It’s the equivalent of seeing a live band and watching them tune their instruments for the first 45 minutes of the show.

    Love!
Listening to this podcast is just like hanging out with my dad and uncles. Everyone complaining about the talking at the beginning, this is what we do…..appreciate it or don’t listen.

    Truly great
I’ve listened to a lot of review podcasts of every sort and this is easily the best. The hosts are hilarious, rigorous, expansive, whip-smart, jovial, and independent-minded. Simply nothing more than you can ask for. Props!!!

The bad movie reviews especially Samurai Cop and Fateful Findings had me relistening way too often
  • ronboogie19
    Outstanding comedic reviews.
Provides informative insight on movies and tv shows while creating a fun atmosphere, especially the bad movie reviews.
  • Claumered
    Great reviews and humor!
The audio version of this show kinda ruins the visual gags, but I still have a good time listening to it

Feels like you are chilling with the homies
    And very insightful

    Whack AF
I tried to listen to these numbskulls review of the Tax Collector and couldn’t get pass their onslaught of offensive stereotypical Mexican accents. Jesus! The only people that find that type of “comedy” funny are morons so be warned. Side note, just because you’re black doesn’t mean it’s okay to act a fool toward another culture. I could only imagine the backlash if these were a bunch of Latino critics acting and sounding like black stereotypes. It wouldn’t be tolerated and neither should this.

Great Review of the American Murder documentary
Excellent review of the American Murder documentary. You may be interested in the other facets of the case surrounding the book Letters From Christopher. Really enjoyed your insight and perspective!

    Cheers.
Korey, Martin, and the whole gang have been there through thick and thin for some good old fashioned BSing. Double Toasted is a model for what a grass-roots community can accomplish. Glad to be a part of it.

Not as good as the YouTube channel
I love the YouTube channel, but the podcast version isn’t as good. Sometimes 20 minutes can go by before they start talking about anything. How does that even happen? That’s a long time to literally talk about nothing. And I’m not exaggerating. I’ve checked the time. 20 minutes! The video versions cut all that crap out.

    Greatest of all time
Grew up on these guys, been listening for a decade plus. Changed my life, thanks for the endless laughs and memories.

Well over a decade of listening to these guys
I started listening to Korey and Martin when a co-worker gave me an old computer back in the MySpace days and discovered them through fun animated movie reviews. I was there for the first Couple Of Cold ones and have been through all the changes and cohosts. Sometimes I take a break sometimes but always keep coming back. I got an iPod just so I could listen to these guys on the go back in the day. They are why I discovered podcast and informed me so much on things I love to this day. Dresden Files, Joe Lansdale, countless movies and TV shows just to name a few. My point is these fools have been consistently entertaining and will do the same for you. I feel old now so that’s that. Subscribe to that Toasty goodness all over your body!
  • Plata2007

Korey, Martin & Co. are Always Entertaining
I’ve been listening/watching since before DT was known as DT. Korey & Martin and the other contributors they surround themselves with are always funny and thoughtful while commenting on movies pop culture. Having multiple perspectives is great and I enjoy the relaxed pace of the shows.

    Toast of the Town
There’s obviously not enough black voices in podcasting but Korey and Martin are doing their part to change things. They’re like the black Statler & Waldorf...

    Great Podcast
The honesty on every topic is refreshing to hear. They are unbiased and speak only on the facts. Movie reviews are even better and I appreciate the open discussions amongst the guests.

    Overall fun and entertaining
Great podcast, love their wide variety of topics that they talk about so theirs certainly something you’ll find interesting. I personally love their movie reviews.

    Love double toasted
This is an extremely convenient way to get my double toasted fix I am subscribed to the website in addition to following them on other social media‘s but the podcast is extremely helpful, however in recent they have been cut off or sloppily additive in some parts in the most recent movie review for March 6 Korey said he would address this so I’m looking forward to that

What Up Son cuts off Early 1/28/19 2/4/19
The past two episodes of What Up Son cut to an ad before the show ends.
  • Matthew Blunk
    Decent show
Some good laughs and a fresh perspective on movies, pop culture, and crazy people. But audio levels are an issue. Martin is the man.
  • babinokid87
    Great show entertaining as hell!
Love what you what doing with all the different content, and love how you all speak your mind. No filter.
  • Hector Amaral
Not quite was it used to be.
I used to listen to them since spill. I loved their take on all things. Lately though, things have been getting too political. It’s mostly Korey that provokes it. I can see that Martin doesn’t feel comfortable going that direction l, but Korey just runs with it. It’s cringeworthy to hear someone that’s clueless about some things talk about it. Worse yet, the impressionable youths or grown people that don’t know better just take it as fact. I guess all good things can’t last forever.

    Fun Podcast!
I like the movie reviews on Double Toasted do! It's fun and lively and good banter. I like having movie reviews to turn to that aren't serious or over pompous as so many critics are these days. So this is cooo! Jenny Tony The Movie Guy Podcast

    Life saviors
I can’t explain how much you guys have saved me from going insane. I listen to y’all at work (I work overnights) and man I can’t express how much y’all get me through the day with all the funny but informative opinions about everything and I can’t wait to meet y’all one day...stay true and stay toastie!
  • Osssssy
    Great show. One big problem
I’ve been a fan of Korey Coleman and Martin Thomas some the spill days. I’ve always been a fan of the matter of fact way that they take on criticism. They can be crass and off the cuff. They’re sometimes biting on their defence of their ideas and aren’t afraid of facing each other down. They care so much about their opinions that I’ve heard them and other hosts get into near physical confrontations over an opinion about a movie. What I’m saying is that they remind me of the dynamic I have with some of my friends. That being said. The problem I’ve always had with the way they review movies is this... Spoilers Yeah, I know it’s hip now for movie reviewers to complain that people are overly sensitive about being spoiled on a movie, that’s common. But here’s the thing. “I saw it coming a mile away” isn’t an excuse for you spoiling a plot point, or set up, or character development for me. Maybe I don’t see as many movies as you. Maybe I’m not as sharp as you. Maybe I just don’t want to know what’s gonna happen. I’ve also heard the excuse,” This happens early in the film so it’s not a spoiler” What?! If it happens on the movie it’s a spoiler. At least if it’s not explicit in the trailer that is. A movie can have a driving motivational point or turn that was deliberately hidden by the film makers or trailer producers because the realization of this fact will have a strong effect on a first time viewer of the film. They’re fast and loose with this. And I’ve seen Korey especially get very up in Arms when he knows ( or seems to know that he is or has spoiled a point but doesn’t want to feel responsible about it ). To be fair and clear, I love this podcast. Always have and always will. But now I find myself ignoring the reviews simply because I’m so afraid I’m gonna be spoiled. In fact the only time I listen now a days if I’m really sure that I’m not gonna actually see the movie. Or sometimes after I’ve seen it because I want to hear their takes on it. Anyway, that’s all I got. They’re actually really funny. If you like funny movie commentary you ought to check it out

    Lame
Always looking for new podcasts on film. Tried this one because two people recommended it; took about 15 minutes until they started barely “talking” about the movie. I put talking I quotes because it was more like incoherent rambling with occasional outbursts apropos of nothing. Technically, production is awful; apparently someone can’t set a mic level properly or employ a limiter, resulting in constantly blown mics. The hosts are ok but one can’t enunciate for the life of him. If you’re looking for something that constantly references pop culture over actual substance, eg you communicate in memes, this is probably a great / funny show. If you’re looking for actual movie reviews or discussion, set your expectations low.

Was great until today when Ads showed up
Been a listiner for years, and today they've added advertisements to the beginning and middle of the podcast. Goodbye DT, it was great while it lasted!

    It’s been 10 years
That I’ve been following Korey and Martin and the rest of the gang. Even though they don’t know me they have had a huge impact on my life. I hope this podcasts lasts as long as it can. Thank you guys!
