    Best podcast ever
I love this podcast so much. I listen every day and love the topics covered. Hearing Ash and Alaina speak so passionately about cases and bringing awareness to the victims is amazing! I never want to run out of episodes!

    The best podcast!
Hands down. I love you ladies!

    Yikes
I used to love this podcast but I was appalled listening to this most recent episode. Mocking the Christians and Christian faith. SCREAMING “Jesus Christ” over and over again is a bad look. Also can you please stop bringing up politics? It’s a true crime podcast not Joe Rogan. Overall just disrespectful coming from 2 women that claim they are inclusive. Gross behavior. Bring back listener tales your stories are getting boooring no one cares what happened in 1920 for crying out loud. Unfollowing.

    Making fun
I feel like in the past these 2 were tolerant of other religions. The episode I just listened to about the haunting ash kept saying “Jesus Christ” over and over in a mocking way and it was so not cool. Bummed.

    Love you guys!
Can you please do more episodes of survival type scenarios? They are my favorite! Like nutty putty cave incident and all the plane crash episodes…I’m craving more!! Appreciate the level of research you do, keep it weeeiiiird

Shut up and get on with it.
These hosts make me want to hear fingernails on a chalkboard. Stop joking around and get to the topic.

    Stop using blaccents 🫠
I stopped listening when the I noticed the hosts using a blaccent— they do so when emphasizing a point which became intolerable. Please stop doing this— it’s embarrassing.

    Impossible to follow
Super annoying how they can’t get through the story with all the interjections and going off topic. I just had to stop listening

    Such a good time! 😂
Alaina: “So many fathers” Ash: “lots of fathers. Daddies everywhere” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this exorcism episode had me cracking up! Love them so much

    Disappointing
The way you guys kind of mock and laugh at Christianity but then turn around and try to say it’s ok to have your own beliefs is disrespectful. A lot of victims you guys talk about believe in God and Jesus and you mock them on demotic ep. Yet you don’t mock any other religion. Love you guys but could you stop laughing at Christians you claim to care about.

    “I was gonna say…”
I used to be a huge fan, but the format has just gotten worse over the years. Ash is a good storyteller but Alaina interjects frequently and spends too much time criticizing obvious things. Often, if one person is talking and gives an opinion, the other jumps in with “I was gonna say!” and then repeats the point that was already made. Overall it’s messy and exhausting.

    Love this!
Such a fun podcast! I love the combo of true crime and paranormal.

I adore them! Listening is like sitting down for coffee with friends. I listen to other podcasts but this is the only one that I miss hearing when I'm waiting for a new episode.

Insipid Podcast For Mindless Background Noise
Having tried this podcast several times, I don’t understand how *anyone* who’s actually listening to it can enjoy it as anything other than morning radio talk show banter (which I don’t like, hence trying it several times to see if it ever goes beyond that - it doesn’t). That mindless chatter coupled with both the stunning lack of research and the hosts’ total disregard of valid criticisms on their social media is a big no for me. For extroverts who need background noise of conversation when they’re alone? Sure, this fits that bill. For anyone who actually wants accurate true crime material? Skip it, you’ll be disappointed. The number of people who actually like this podcast for its content is just further confirmation for me that humans are doomed as a species. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

    Weirdos for Guillotines
After the recent episodes covering the Killer Hippie I had to go back to the underwater days to re-watch (oops, I mean re-listen) to Edmund Kemper. I found it, the very moment you spooky ooo-ky babes hooked me.. “I think we’ve all decapitated a doll here or there.” Thank you for continuously piquing my curiosity, inspiring laughter & tears & nostalgia & disgust & joy in just 30 seconds of 1.5x speed, and empowering the embrace of weirdo culture, whatever that looks like for each of us!

    Rattling dishes? Absurd
The idea that dishes rattling gave away the position of the USS Indianapolis is more of a myth or misunderstanding than a factual account. Let’s break it down: 1. Sonar and Sound Detection In WWII, enemy submarines primarily used passive sonar to listen for ships — essentially underwater microphones. These could pick up engine noise, propeller cavitation, and other mechanical sounds. But it would be extremely unlikely for something like dishes rattling inside the ship to be audible from a submarine underwater. 2. Ship Noise Hierarchy The USS Indianapolis was a heavy cruiser, and its engines, screws (propellers), and hull vibrations would’ve produced far more acoustic signature than anything happening inside the galley. Even the ship’s plumbing or electric generators would have been louder. Dishes rattling? Not even close. That sound wouldn’t transmit effectively through the hull and water in a way sonar could detect. 3. Origin of the Myth The idea that rattling dishes gave away the ship’s position likely stems from anecdotal or dramatized retellings, not any factual sonar detection. It’s a colorful story but not technically plausible. It may have been a metaphor for vibrations caused by the ship’s speed or maneuvering — not the literal cause of its discovery. 4. What Really Happened to the USS Indianapolis The ship was not tracked or targeted because of noise. It was sailing alone, unescorted, and was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine (I-58) more due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time than because of any detectable noise profile. There’s no historical record or credible military source that supports the dishes theory. So in short: No, the rattling dishes did not give away the ship’s position. It’s a story that may have been used to illustrate how fast or unstable the ship was moving, but it’s not supported by physics or historical accounts.

    Too painful of a format
Too painful of a format to listen to. Try some of the other wondery show formats where it’s presented in a story telling format. This format is just 2 idiot chicks blathering and giggling to each other

    #1‼️
Absolutely my favorite podcast. I have listened to every single episode and Alainas episodes at least 2 or 3 times. So comforting for me!! My favorite part of this podcast is the way Ash makes Alaina laugh. Reminds me so much of me and my sister.
  • Taderrrr
    Getting really cringe and annoying
Been listening to awhile now and while I enjoy the content, starting to agree with the complaints about Alaina and Ash getting really cringe and annoying. Getting really tired of Alaina's high and mighty rants, like towards the end of eps 659 about Kristin O'Connell, and the both of them screaming about signing the petition. Just let us know the info, we don't need your rants and annoying high pitched voice. Also some of the intros are just getting out of hand. We don't need 12 minutes of garbage to start off the episode.
  • tmjordan1980
Why does Alaina always need all of the attention?
Alaina is dominant and Ash is passive; a good mix except when Ash is the storyteller. If Alaina isn’t too interested in the story, she’ll interject unnecessarily, make jokes and try to change the focus. They get off track telling inside jokes and even joking about the victim. It’s disrespectful.

    Amazing
    My fav podcast
  • Momma Jenks
    Just an okay podcast
Started off good. I like how they advocate for the victim and the unjustly accused. I don’t care for the political comments. Their views have nothing to do with the outcome of the crime. Sometimes I feel they just talk to fill up time. I’ll check out some other podcasts.

Really? A crime junkie ad? No longer listening.
Do we all have 0 memory? The crime junkie podcast has been proven to be plagiarist of smaller podcasts. I’ve listened to morbid for a long time as they’ve had their brushes with the problematic, but I can no longer support morbid if they support a team that steals from smaller creators. Word for word stealing episode scripts and no siting sources.
  • Britty0009
    Just be nice, girlies
Was great until things got too political. My only gripe is that they say they are a podcast for everyone and they throw very insulting undertones if you don’t vote how they vote . Especially the newer episodes . I can respect we don’t see eye to eye but I sure wish you’d stop bashing political views you don’t understand . We’re all souls having a human experience , and no one’s experience will lead to the same decisions . I respect yours . can’t we just be nice ? Will continue to listen occasionally bc I support you even with differing views . You girls are funny and entertaining .
  • Sam12885
    Had potential but…
I just want a true crime podcast, I don’t care what side you’re on NOBODY is here for that. I don’t know how many podcasts I have started with this same issue.
  • MAlexisBR
    Golden State Killer
I started with the GSK episode & I can’t stomach it. Talking about their favorite name & least favorite name for him, referencing pop icons, & the laughing. It is so gross - there are real life victims this is not fiction.
  • Vrose16x
    For the most part yeah
I like this podcast, and enjoy you ladies. I think your heart is in the right place but political stuff should probably be left out. I work in this field myself - not the podcast side. Id like more focus on the cases, case work, failures of CSI and police. I listen for education and because true crime is a passion of mine obviously. Again like this overall but the political stuff doesn’t belong and I can go elsewhere for political podcasts. Thanks for your investigative work and care for the victims.

Can’t Get Past the F Word
Tried to listen to the Boston Molasses Flood but had to give up. Hard to pick out the interesting story amongst the constant F words. Too bad.

    Always been my number 1
Morbid has always been my go to for true crime! Don’t change a thing (it’s your podcast anyway lol)
  • ~Just_Jess~
    Unfollowed
Alaina and Ash use to be my all time FAVORITE podcast EVER but lately, it’s gone downhill FAST. 1. Too political. It’s a podcast, we don’t care your opinions 2. Too many cases from back in the day. Focus on more current crimes. Stuff that happened in 1910 is way outdated. I had to unfollow.
  • Ayla Woods
Love and accept everybody.. except Christians.
They cannot go a show without slamming the Christian faith, but will then say to “just be nice and love everybody!!! It’s not hard!” They’re so disrespectful of any Christian religion but are very vocal about how they think Wiccan, Buddhism, or literally ANY other religion is the coolest thing ever. I’m so disappointed in the true colors they’ve shown the last year.

“He’s not a good clown” JWG Relisten
Update: IT’S THEIR PODCAST. IF THEY SPEAK THEIR OPINION ON POLITICS… That’s their opinion/perspective on THEIR podcast. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Listen. There’s banter. There’s language. It’s what makes this podcast Ash and Alaina-centric. If you don’t get that, give it a listen. Some comments say there is too much tangent commentary, but that’s EXACTLY what makes the show worth listening to. With that being said, the hosts make the cases clear to understand without drowning me in monotone insipidity. Let me be clear... The cases they cover are very: real, sad, disheartening, terrifying, insufferable, traumatizing, unfathomable, etc. Should there be respect when telling victims stories? Absolutely. Ash and Alaina do just that. Are they also angry at the need to even tell these stories? Yes. Do they curse? Yes! They can do whatever they want. They’re adults speaking on THEIR podcast. Do they interject their opinions? Yes. Do you always agree? Maybe not, but that’s perspective for you. We all need to have a little more these days. Come here for the true crime, they do their research. Stay for the weird sense of friendship you get from strangers who put themselves into their love for this podcast.

    Update your description
You really need to add into your podcast description that you are liberals and you both touch on politics against the Conservative Party. Let the listener know ahead of time so they don’t waste their time if they are conservative and just want to hear a crime story to get away for the news and go to a different podcast.

    Scraping the barrel
Used to love this show but I have found myself just deleting the episodes after five minutes into the topic anymore. I feel like with all the content they have been forced to push out weekly, they have run out of fresh ideas. They are now random stories about attempted murders and kidnappings and it just feels too forced. Like they are being forced to scrape the internet for rando “true crime” stories to cover. This is not it ladies and the show just doesn’t have the same draw like it used to. Unfollowing.

    Priests don’t wear rosaries
Re the last listener tales - totally fiction - it’s disappointing- details matter - it’s sacrilege to wear a rosary around your neck - I miss the non embellished tales

    Ten stars
Recovering from a head injury right now and this podcast is making me feel less like a useless bag of flesh. Thank you for doing the hard brain work and packaging these stories up in the most lovely, hilarious, down-to-earth way.

    Love this podcast
I enjoy long podcasts, and Morbid does just that. I also love all the details they provide. Ash and I have the same personality, so I vibe with this podcast.

    The Best!
You ladies always have my laughing. Sometimes the long chat before getting to the case drives me nuts, but glad for the forward button. Out of all the cases you’ve covered so far, the story of Allison Botha was just wild. Her strength is unparalleled. Like you, I was holding my throat and imagining what it took for her to walk to that road. Kudos ladies!
  • DeedeeKay83
I thought this was a true crime podcast?
Was a loyal listener for years, then this flip flopped a few years back and turned into a political news podcast. They bash anyone who doesn’t share their beliefs and that’s not why I listen. So much for the compassion and understanding they preach.

    Love This Podcast
My husband absolutely love these two ladies. They are funny and the stories are so interesting. Well done!!

    Thank you!
Ever since I stumbled onto your podcast I’ve been obsessed. The right amount of creepy, scary, and laugh out loud silliness. In a world that’s constantly trying to erase people like me, it’s nice to know you have our backs. Many are against the politics but this is your podcast, this is your platform. The right fans will remain. You not saying anything would concern me more than saying something. Y’all are amazing. (Never planned to leave a review but seeing all the hate about the way you choose to utilize YOUR platform rubbed me the wrong way.)
  • Truecrimejunkieee93
    Used to be 5 stars
I’ve been a Morbid fan from day one. I’ve listened to every episode and absolutely love the girls banter. I’ve noticed as the years go on, more recently they started making political digs. This is a true crime podcast, and although the beginning banter, they include a lot of their personal life. I don’t think it’s appropriate to be making digs whether you are on the right or left side of the political scale. Unfortunately, for me, I no longer recommend a podcast, and I find myself listening to it lesson less, especially when they come from a party of acceptance. It’s a no for me
  • leglady1999
    Keep politics out of it
I love listening to Alaina and Ash until they started putting politics into it . Everyone has an opinion on politics but this is supposed to be a true crime podcast , so keep your political views and opinions to yourself . You to are going to lose more listeners if you don’t
  • amanda050507
    Stick to true crime
Do not care about your political views. Tell the story and leave the politics out.
