There's something really lovely about listening to a podcast about a community you haven't been part of in a while and suddenly feeling like you belong. Lindsey, Marlee, and Steph are great hosts tackling video games and its culture from a variety of skill levels and, of course, from a female perspective. It's a great show, and I strongly recommend it if you're wanting to get back into video games again. Their latest episode on Bioshock Infinite actually made me want to finally play the Bioshock games! If you're a video game fan, this show will appeal to you for all the obvious reasons. But it will also give you a different POV into the world of video games, something that is most welcome these days!

You guys keep doing you! I think you should do more indie games ! Please keep making episodes and maybe when you rate with macaroons???

I’m not a gamer but I love watching people play video games and this podcast is great at discussing the game they are playing. I listened to their Spider-Man ep and really enjoyed how they described some of the characters and what may happen in the next game!

Not only do I love video games, My girlfriend got sucked in immediately. She loves video games and as a female it's hard to find commond ground in the area. These ladies are true gamers and discuss the real issue they find with video games. This lead my girlfriend to discuss severl details about the same games tht she either found annoying, difficult or particularly fun. Great to have a gender alternative to the gaming podcast. Fantastic!!

Cutscenes & Cupcakes is a great reminder that video games are about having fun. The hosts are friendly, fun to listen to, and share a passion for gaming. This show avoids being self serious or too critical that many other shows might fall into. It’s a must listen for anyone with interest in video games. Give them a listen and a subscribe!

Love listening to this podcast! The friendship of the hosts makes it easy to listen to, as if you are having cupcakes with them. While I love the fun, day-to-day conversations surrounding the ‘not-a-sponser’ section, sometimes I feel they run a little long as I am excited to hear them discuss the games with equal length and enthusiasm.

Let me start by saying, I never was super into gaming. Well, I thought I wasn't. But it turns out that even I could find an episode of Cutscenes & Cupcakes that covered a game that I've played and loved. The girls are all a hoot to listen to, and it's really interesting to finally have a new perspective on what has been a male dominated universe for so long. It's not often you come across a gaming podcast that has female hosts. Lindsey, Marlee, and Steph are hilarious and I like their discussions. The intro gaming music is adorable and really puts you in a good mood. They rate games using cupcakes (or other desserts like cookies). In a genre that is over saturated with male opinions, listening to Steph, Lindsay, and Marley is refreshing. The podcast is great for all levels of gamers - but as someone who plays video games casually I find them incredibly relatable. I think they’re funny. I think they’re honest. And authentic. And they’ve covered all the games I play regularly so kudos!

Growing up with games it’s been a joy to share all the fond memories of the literal hundreds (bordering on thousands) of titles I have played and this podcast is sharing that joy over and over again. The three gals are so fun to listen to and have such a unique perspective as they all differ in skill level that it’s just awesome to join in sharing similar fond memories of games and also hearing about radically different memories. The Bioshock episode is my favorite so far and hearing them all talk about it again just flung me back to the first time playing it and it was such an amazing experience. They’re awesome to listen to and get HYPE with as they review new and old games. I can’t wait for what’s to come!

So I stumbled upon this show through a friend’s recommendation, and I admittedly wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s been a second since I’ve done any serious gaming, and I wasn’t sure exactly how this podcast would work - BUT it’s amazing! These ladies are simply adorable together, know their stuff, have a really easy and enjoyable format and have left me wondering where the heck my controllers are, could you ask for more than that!? I absolutely did not think I had this kind of void in my podcast listening, but apparently I did, and couldn’t be happier to have this filling it now! Keep up the fun and unique content!! 🖤🖤

I used to love playing video games growing up—but then just stopped for no good or discernible reason. So, as a total noob, this show has become pretty essential to me. It’s been a solid reintroduction to gaming. Steph, Lindsey, and Marlee are all super knowledgeable and now I have all of these awesome games to check out. Couldn’t recommend it more!!!

The three female hosts have different experiences with gaming, which makes the show accessible to novice and hardcore gamers. They pull in pop culture like TV shows that I watch, which made me feel like I had a lot in common with these ladies. If you’re interested in learning more about certain games before buying or just want to hear how others enjoy the games you also play, this show is definitely made for you!
