    Disappointed
I was so excited to find this podcast until the comment “I was going to throw it all away and learn about the Bible.” It broke my heart. It breaks God’s heart more importantly. I wish you two well.

    Episode 10
Thank you both so much for your vulnerability - I am listening to episode 10 and I appreciate your transparency in parenting and balance. I had to search for how to write a review on iTunes because I never write reviews but this one moved me to action. I’m sure there will be more in my future. Thanks so much for your honesty and expertise! I’m with you on screens for my kids and figuring out this balance especially as I get started in private practice and navigating the whole business end of things. It’s all consuming but realizing that it shouldn’t be. Thank you so much!

    A Treasure Trove of information!
A truly invaluable resource as I transition from a hospital based practice to my own private practice! I’ve learned an incredible amount about how to start and run my business, from billing, to charting, IBCLC life hacks, to marketing. I’ve enjoyed the interviews with experts as well, and have learned about many great businesses and organizations from them!

I loved that I found this podcast! Annie and Leah cover ALL the topics (some you never even thought to consider before starting your business)! The tech tips and market tips are extremely helpful. These episodes are to the point and so relevant to the lactation business. I have learned so much and always reference this podcast to others wanting to start their own business. I plan on listening to every single episode before I get started on my own because I don’t want to miss anything they have to say!

So helpful for anyone who works or volunteers in the lactation field!
This podcast is one-of-a-kind, offering an opportunity to hear from IBCLCs in private practice who are working through the business issues we all face. Annie and Leah’s style is comfortable and friendly, and they often remind us of the reasons we do this work. While they talk mostly of topics pertaining to lactation practice in the US and Canada, there is still very valuable content for lactation care providers outside of North America. Many thanks to both Annie and Leah for taking this leap into podcasting and pushing our field forward!

Extremely helpful for allied health professionals starting a small business
I am SO glad I found this podcast! I am starting my own business as a natural family planning educator and I have found so many parallels to the lactation consultant business. I especially appreciate hearing about HIPAA compliance and charting platforms because these are things that apply to my practice too. Please keep the content coming! Thank you!

    Thank you!
As a PPIBCLC you often feel like you’re operating in a vacuum. How do other people do this work? How do I manage the self doubt? How do I promote my business and reach more clients? How do I present myself professionally and still seem approachable? How do I manage my time and workflow most effectively. Needless to say, I’m here for the valuable tips, camaraderie and ideas to keep my business going! Thanks for the help!

Invaluable resource for new PP LCs!
As a new IBCLC starting out, this podcast's timing could not be better. I've been having a hard time finding a mentor, but each episode with Annie and Leah is almost like having 2 mentors meeting with me on the regular! I appreciate Annie's tech tips and Leah's marketing tips in addition to an organized format that focuses on a larger topic. When each ep is over, I find myself wanting more, so I picked up Annie's first book- it's been SO helpful. Thanks Annie and Leah!

Great for new and experienced LC’s!
I enjoy listening to the commentary from Annie and Leah! I would love to hear a “how to” podcast...something like “How to elevate your ped report” or “How to chart like a boss charting during a visit without sacrificing patient care”. Look forward to more podcasts!

    Episode 3
Hit the nail on the head! “Worry when you’re busy, whine when you’re not.” I have used what I’ve learned in this podcast to explain to my husband that I’m not the only one going through this paradox. Great subject, wonderful content. Thanks!

I’ve been preparing to go up private practice for the past several months and trying to gather as much information before jumping in. This podcast specifically addressed some concerns and barriers that have kept me from taking the leap. I look forward to hearing future episodes!

    Very relatable!
Annie and Leah‘s content in this first podcast is exactly what I have experienced in my own practice. Coming from a background of being a La Leche League Leader, this episode is exactly what I wish someone would have told me 10 years ago!
