Ugh. Tasteless and exploitative to include audio of a person actively dying to bolster plays and ratings. Not okay. Also not totally shocked bc they have never rooted their story telling around narratives that offer change or social reform. or approach making content from a trauma informed lens. Do better. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Binged the entire show over the past year. I have listened to many many true crime podcasts over the past several years and this is one of my favorites. I love the clear and engaging storytelling and commentary. Yall have great chemistry and play well off each other. Always look forward to seeing a new episode in my queue.

Fun to listen to

I'm looking for a new true crime podcast to devour but cannot get beyond the yelling. I know the point is to speak clearly and enunciate but my ears are bleeding. Can't you guys just speak instead of the overt yelling?

I love Heath & Daphne. Their way of telling each case and story is always very respectful, and they tell it in a way that is easy to follow and understand. I have listened to every episode, and recently signed up and am almost finished with all of the bonus episodes. Just love them so much!! 🩶

This pod consistently airs stories recently covered, better, by other popular podcasts. It’s almost like they don’t do their own research.

I’ve been a listener since 2019, and you recently covered the Alexis Gabe case out of my hometown, and i can’t thank you enough. She and her family deserve answers. thank you for bringing exposure. You guys are the best. might i add, i believe Daphne coming from a family that has experienced such heartbreak really shows through. You guys care and want answers because you know how important they are to the loved ones left behind. Thank you! ❤️

I love this podcast! I fall asleep to it every night. But it looks like every episode is now subscriber only unless I’m wrong. I have it one all episodes not unplayed. I hope not bc I would but I can’t afford rn! But such a good pod!

I’ve listened for years and it’s been fun. Your story telling has really gotten good and I LOVE that you just get straight to the content. But, you still show your personalities through the telling of each episode. Plus, you produce a ton of content and it’s a lot work. I’m not one to write review’s and this is the first time I’ve ever done one for a podcast so keep it up and thank you!

I enjoy the crimes you all choose, and I like how you tell the story however at times you guys are repetitive and too judgmental. I wish that you would just stick to telling us about the story and skip the judgment and over speculation.

I love y’all and listen to your podcast weekly but please go back to the old cover. Also, stop yelling. I liked the soft and smooth voices from your earlier episodes.

Of all the many many podcasts I’ve listen to, you guys are the best as a couple by far! You two are a perfect mix of banter and seriousness. A lot of podcasts get too cutesy or off topic but you guys keep it real and interesting and pleasurable to listen to as a third wheel… thanks!!

I’ve been listening to Daphne & Heath for years. One of the first podcasts I listened to in true crime. They respectfully tell victims’ stories. I look forward to when new episodes come out. Very interesting ones that I don’t hear on every other podcast. WTG!!

If your looking for a drinking game, you’ve found it, take a shot anytime Daphne says “totally” or “HOWEver”…heath is obviously a puppet in this show, he literally adds nothing to conversation besides repeating what she says immediately after she says it

Its a 10/5. People are upset they use inappropriate language. NEWS FLASH ITS THEIR SHOW😱. They can say/do whatever they want you decided to listen. Personally I love the show they voice their opinions instead of just telling a story it adds flavor. Heath says share this story but he’s not necessarily saying share Going West. He says it to get the word out to these understandably desperate families that have lost a loved one. Daphne and Heath great work!

I would really enjoy this podcast if the hosts didn’t yell the whole time. I listen with headphones and I really wish they would lower their voices. It’s like they are shouting at me. It keeps me from listening which is a bummer because I like the content. They don’t need to talk so loudly! They are on microphones that pick up everything.

I like this podcast but my only complaint is the yelling especially in the intro. I often listen to podcasts at night and the over excitement can be too much. Just chill a little

Love this podcast and how straightforward it is. Heath and daphne always keep me hooked. I just subscribed and I’m not sure what took me so long after listening to the backlog of episodes. This is the real deal.

These two have an uncanny knack for bringing sometimes horrific crimes alive. I find the episodes to be well-structured and their banter to be very entertaining. The episodes are nicely edited, and I like the way they use music.

Heath and Daphne, please be safe. The devastation in California breaks our hearts. Your podcast is wonderful as usual. Thanks for the hard work you two do each week. Most of all, please take care of yourselves.

I’m an avid true crime podcast listener and Going West is my favorite for their engaging content and amazing story telling. The hosts seem like such good people and are clearly passionate about what they do. Always excited when a new episode comes out! Highly recommend.

I am listening to the first episode since the announcement of being part of the Unwell Squad. The greatest difference is a the noticeable decrease in commercials which only serves to enhance the overall audience experience. This is coming from a true fan who has been listening for years. Keep up the great content.

I discovered this podcast a couple years ago and it’s really gotten me into true crime. Daphne and Heath do a great job diving into each story. I was slowly making my way into all the older episodes and still had about 40 left (that weren’t bonuses). Since the switch to a new platform, they seem to have disappeared. Is there a way to get all the older episodes back? I would love to listen to the old episodes from 2020 that I had on my list still!

Put together very well

Some episodes are really good some I think can use a little better research. The biggest issue I have is the weird moral commentary and there's some discussions that result in...nothing? I showed up hoping to be potentially helpful in learning about the missing and maybe helping spread the word. But find the episodes recently just "ok".

I’ve been listening to Going West for a few years now. The content is well written and the interactions between the two hosts (Daphne and Heath) are entertaining and informative. They seem to genuinely care about the subject matter and that comes through in how they demonstrate respect for the victims and their families. They often cover cases you won’t hear about anywhere else and I look forward to the each new episode!

Don’t be a stranger? Don’t block people on socials for having varying opinions. Heaven forbid. Also, offensive language from the chick. Hypocrite. This podcast would be better if she were not a part of it.

Great team! Interesting that this couple leaves the listeners thru the story and also answers all the questions we normally have without being overly lengthy! Perfect pick for a quality podcast!!
