RAF521On pointThis episode touched me personally. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and how it relates to everyday life. The way our body react to something as simple as a song a smell a touch really shows the connection between mind and body. It took me some time to recognize triggers and to learn how to not let it have such a daunting effect on me.

LoriMplsMnLoveKeep up the good work! Maybe a show on aging, 50-55 and over, and how that pulls and pushes one to be who they are. Beauty in aging is possible, it has to be.

kid@heart:)A must have if you’re having a rough dayThe first episode I listened to was about grief and hospice. Before I clicked on it, part of me was, “I don’t have time to listen to anything that talks about death and grief” because I recently lost my dad back in January to a sudden heart attack, he was 43. However another part of me was said, “why not click on this link and listen to it? Just do some chores while you listen so you’re not wasting time”. I’m so glad I listened to this podcast. It’s given me inspiration to grow my life around my grief. I’m going to follow the advice I learned from the podcast: grow the box (my life) bigger so that the Grief ball in the box doesn’t keep pushing on the Pain button that’s also in the box. I don’t want to end up being apathetic around my kids EVERY day until they move out of the house just because I’m letting my grief and negative throughts take over most of my time and brain energy on a daily basis in the back of my head and not appreciate little things in life. I now write at least one thing positive that happened earlier in the day and put in a canister I keep by my bedside. That way, if I’m saying to myself one day, “I’ve wasted my life so what’s the point? I’ll just lay in bed all day, “ I can shake the canister and take a positive memory note from it. I’ll probably email a copy of it to myself just in case I lose the canister somehow in a fire haha. Thank you for creating this episode on grief and the world of hospice.

kcannerSo many amazing takeawaysLove this podcast so much! I love Leah’s thoughtful, curious questioning of everyday issues that we all deal with. I have never listened to an episode where I don’t come away with some inspiration and a little more drive to be better and do better. It’s inspiring and oh, so good! Thank you Leah, and all your guests who share so much of their experiences that are so relatable so we, your listeners, can make our lives just a little better.
-
SaraBB111Such an insightful podcast!Leah’s questions are out of this world, and so are the guests she brings on. I have been a listener for a long time, and recommend her to friends and family all of the time! Must listen!!
-
MindOverMatterNatThank you!I am so encouraged by your podcasts and the guests you have on them. It’s so refreshing to begin to truly understand how to go about changing our mindset for the better. Your way of asking the questions and getting to the “meat” of each presentation is easy for all to understand. I love listening and will continue to tune in! Your work really helps us be more mindful. Thank you with joy.

Captain NashaSelf help for anti-self helpersNine out of 10 times I avoid anything to do with self-help. Maybe part of this has to do with the fact that I’m a social worker and the self-care narrative has been very popular in the last couple of years in my profession. but in actuality, I find it to be so nebulous, and so difficult to pin down. Furthermore, what self-help looks like in terms of one’s career is another story. Leah is and undeniably remarkable person, and her genuine enthusiasm, and interesting guests bring self-help to another level— one that benefits me. And that, I can get on board with it. Thank you Leah, for your work, it makes these days of mine improved.

RfpazFantastic!I love the show topics of growth, potential and personal development. The host is analytical, thoughtful and smart. I enjoy and learn so much from every episode. I just discovered the show so I’m in full binge mode. I’ve been looking for shows with hosts of different backgrounds to intentionally broaden the content I consume. I especially loved the episodes that explored navigating life and work as a person of color in America.

Kels S WComforting , inspiring and motivatingThe topics and guests of all In the Arena episodes are so thoughtful and useful in every day life. You can bring so much of this content to help with marriage, friendship, parenting, business relations, etc. I am a new listener but I am hooked. Highly recommend this podcast to anyone who needs a lift , a laugh or advice in how to communicate things both to yourself and others. Leah (host) is so personable and lovely, I feel like I am having a conversation with her in every episode.
-
iago07A special host…I will confess that Leah is my good friend. And it is undeniable that she has a gift. I know that she’s still defining it, but it’s present in every episode and with every guest. There’s something about Leah. Perhaps it’s her honesty or authenticity or vulnerability. Perhaps it’s all of that and more. But make no mistake: while a good host let’s their guests shine (and here each one does), the best hosts shine alongside their guests. Can’t wait to see where Leah takes all of this wisdom in her future endeavors…
-
tacuazines4Host interrupts guests excessivelyThe content and guests are great, but the hostess interrupts them too often and hijacks the show to talk about herself or pretend she is the expert. Hopefully her egocentric habit is corrected soon.
-
