A expertly guided tour through the piano literature
Each week, Henrik guides listeners through a different piece from the piano repertoire and gives his expert insights on the music. He breaks down each piece in a non-technical way that is accessible to musicians and non-musicians, alike. This is one of my very favorite music podcasts because each episode enhances my appreciation for piano masterpieces and gives me ideas about pieces that I might like to study.

    Wonderful resource for rep review!
I’ve been out of school for almost a decade (BMU piano performance). I needed some inspiration for deepening my practice and getting back into the rep. Henry’s analyses are the perfect blend of accessible and detailed. Walking you through pieces with auditory examples and theoretical analysis. Whether you’re learning one of these pieces for the first time or reviewing the repertoire, this is a great resource!!!!

    New appreciation of Chopin nocturnes
Before listening to this podcast, I was not interested in playing Chopin nocturnes. I preferred to practice the more technically flashy études, polonaises and ballades. But this podcast explained them in such an interesting way that I dug out my old piano books and have started to play them, especially the ones in minor keys.
