    Incredible
Absolutely the best card podcast bar none. I only wish the episodes were longer. As Beckett monthly subscriber for many years it’s a privilege to listen to Dr Beckett talking to guests and giving sound honest advice.

    Pointless
Election podcast was pathetic. “Doctor” lists 12 political issues that could impact the hobby and provides standard party line talking points rather than actual facts. Do some actual research before providing bias opinions. 15 minutes of nothing I will not get back.

    Incredible Podcast
I’ve listened to all the episodes!! The info alone is worth the listen!!! Sprinkle in the guest that Dr Jim has on the show is amazing!!! Then there are the ramblings with Rich Klein it’s like listening to 2 Card Encyclopedias talking about history of cards only problem is the show makes me spend money so far I’ve bought 1. Herb Washington 2 1988 UD Dewayne Buice 3. 1988 UD Wally Joyner 4. Randy Moss 1998 Crown Royal 5. 1992 Topps Stadium of Stars set minus 3 6. 2005 Topps Fan Favorites Dr James Beckett (He signed it for me at DCS) I’ve also started using COMC Thanks Dr Jim!!! Be careful is addictive!!! My Favorite quote from the Podcast “Some cards are worth less, but no card is Worthless”

    Thank You
Dr. Beckett, I listened to your Christmas episode this morning and was delighted to hear that you are a fellow believer. Thank you for not being afraid to share your faith.

Good if you enjoy chewing sounds
A legend in the industry no doubt, but I tried one episode and he was eating a bag of chips in the mic through the whole interview! Made it completely unlistenable. Maybe a one time occurrence, but to me it showed lack of respect for the guest and the listeners.

    An All-Time Great
First of all, Dr Beckett knows so much about the hobby and has so much to share. I love listening to all of his great hobby stories. Second, no one realizes how hard it is to run a daily show. I run a weekly sports cards podcast, and I sometimes have trouble getting one episode out. Thanks for what you do for the hobby Dr Beckett!!

Learn from one of the hobby GOATs
"Insights" is a great name for the podcast. For your sports card education, why not learn from one of the legends? Getting back into the hobby, this is one of the podcasts that has really helped me catch up with what is going on today and balancing it out with historical references and perspective.

    My favorite podcast
I love to hear the old stories of collectors and card shows. Also love to hear the sober opinions of a legend (Dr Beckett).

    Terrible sped up audio
The speeding up of the audio makes this podcast entirely unlistenable. Too bad. I’m sure it’s great content.

    Fascinating and fun
Dr. Beckett is a legend in the sports card industry. I’m so glad he is dedicating his time and efforts to create an oral history of his experiences in the hobby, discussing hobby trends, etc. I never miss an episode!

    Pretty good
He could really use an audio producer for some technical, style things but the interviews are interesting and he knows the history. I am almost positive he speeds up the audio rate for the guests sometimes. If not there are a lot of fast talkers in the hobby. Best for the person who wants to know the hobby history.

Not only a pioneer, but the pioneer of the modern sports card hobby. Incredible perspective. I’m super jealous of those who have gotten to interview Mr Beckett. I’d love to have you in my show any time (the basketball card podcast). Let me know if you’re ever up for it. :)

    Great Podcast
I love the daily short shows, the topics are always on par and very interesting to hear a lot of the backstory to the past

    All caught up!!!
Found Dr. Beckett’s pod cast about 4 weeks ago. Listened to a few of the most recent ones before deciding to listen to them all, I have now caught up with all of the episodes. The biggest majority of the show are timeless and can apply to the hobby now no matter when you listen to them. Really enjoy the Then and Now as well as collector interviews. Looking forward to upcoming episodes. Keep up the great work.

    Wanted to love it
I have enjoyed listening to the guests he has had on. Some of the conversations I have enjoyed.... THEN, some of his comments and remarks bring it down. On some episodes he referred to some guests collecting goals (certain teams/players/etc) as oh those aren’t in much demand, those should be easier to collect or those are worth much. Or he has referred to these commons aren’t worth the time/labor to sort or do anything with, etc... such comments to me bring the show down. Well, not everyone is in this hobby to turn a profit or make money. There are tons of collectors who do it because they like the hobby, like cards, like collecting their their team/player - Not because it’s the huge money making or hot card. Just my thoughts.

    Dr Beckett speaks!
If you love baseball cards you need to listen to this podcast. He made collecting cards fun and cool to do and now we get to hear from him for the first time. Informative and a ride down memory lane.
