    Great Interviews with Soul
This is my new favorite podcast. I love the guests and interviews as they delve into the art and soul of bluegrass music. I’m an old time and bluegrass musician and appreciate the range of artists and discussions Tom Power is able to facilitate. He is a great interviewer, sensitive and thoughtful. I appreciate his heartfelt approach and love for the music.

    Extraordinary podcast
I follow just about every bluegrass podcast that I can find. This one is not only my favorite bluegrass podcast, it’s one of the best music podcasts I’ve heard. Tom is such a great interviewer. He obviously knows his subjects, he’ll ask a question and then he sits back while his subjects tell amazing stories with information that even the most hardcore fans haven’t heard before. Every single episode I’ve heard is a treasure. He is capturing important audio biographies that are sure to provide a historical archive of the greatest artists of this genre. My husband and I co-host a bluegrass radio show and this podcast is turning into an invaluable resource for us. Thank you Tom and keep them coming!

Bobby and Tony and Jerry and Jesse and everyone
I don’t know how you do it, I can’t always see where you’re going, but you really make the most of these interviews. As a border guy ( Calais, Me./ St. Stephen, N. B.) I can appreciate the intimate sense of sitting across a kitchen table and conversing. Thank you, WD

    Tribute to Tony Rice (Trilogy)
Tony Rice is my all time musical hero, influence and a constant source of inspiration and elevation in times of need 🎶💯❤️ Coming from an Irish Traditional Flute player that’s a big feckin deal. You’ve no idea how much your podcast has meant to me as I listened so intently to these incredibly personal, heartfelt and honest tributes to Tony. Thank you for sharing these with us and major kudos to both yourself and Stephanie Coleman for presenting and producing such a stellar and seriously in-depth documentary in podcast form. RIP Tony Rice. Kevin Crawford

    What a Wonderful Surprise
What a great podcast. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical coming in but the Tony Rice tributes were just so good. Now I am going back to S1 and working my way through it. I already can’t wait for Season 2!

    Deeply Engaging & Well-Produced
I’m very impressed. This is a totally professional podcast with high production values and solid hosting. The conversation runs deep and is enhanced with occasional, well-placed sound clips that really contribute context and texture. It’s as nicely done as anything on NPR, which is a high complement – especially for a bluegrass show 😂

    I love this series.
My only complaint is that I wish the Tony Rice episode had been given an explicit rating or had some beeps over all the f-bombs, so I hadn’t shared it with my dad, who’s a Baptist minister.

    Great interviews and stories
I don’t know much about bluegrass but I like music and I could listen to Tom Power interview a turnip. This pod has got me looking through YouTube for old bluegrass videos and looking up banjo references. I love everything about it and can’t wait for the next season.

    Wow!
I went for a walk and decided to listen to a podcast about bluegrass and found the Jerry Douglas interview. Time to go for another long walk! What a treat. So much fun to hear how everyone is connected. Great comfortable interview with bluegrass interspersed. Thank you!

    Great Storytelling
Each interview unfolds like an intricate story. They’re informative, entertaining, sometimes funny, and deeply rooted in the music. It’s an hard magic trick to pull off, but one that the Toy Heart crew does with each episode.

    Simply my favorite
Not many podcasts on the topic of bluegrass. Even fewer with such a competent host. Tom not only knows how to conduct and interview, he also loves the music and it shows. Plus, he interviews the biggest names in the genre. Just great all around, keep it up!
