Well done but too graphic at times

Enjoyed the mystery of it and the acting production was very good. However - mid season 2 I really lost interest. Then season 3, to finish it all in one episode after two seasons of buildup? Spoiler The whole Sam portion was in listenable and didn’t relate to the beginning. Potential lost

I’ve been just blown away by this podcast, I’m currently in the second season and just started a couple days ago. Amazing story and voice acting - I hope it can be made into a show or movie someday.

This one’s going to stick with you.

I listen to a lot of podcasts, I love stories. This one is incredibly well written and the cast is spectacular! I won’t ruin the story but this one is going to take you on an emotional ride that will haunt you for awhile. If you are looking for a suspenseful, horrifying, sometimes gory “who done it” that inspects the real human cost of violence, tragedy, and grief this is for you. I’m left wondering if it is possible to really heal after loss and if justice can ever truly exist.

So glad I found this podcast and that I got to binge 3 seasons! Compelling characters, great plot twists, writing success! Haven is such a good character I was rooting for her no matter what, thanks for this show!

Edited review - was great, went downhill

“This was completely engrossing. One of the most affecting audio dramas I’ve heard yet, well-crafted story with depth and meaning. Great writing, good acting, and the ending left me shattered.” My above review was following season 1. I cannot make the same statements for season 2 or for the currently airing season 3. The episodes are so short now which does not leave time for emotional beats to last longer than a moment. Inconsistent pronunciation, little things that take the listener out of the story. The acting seems rushed and unconvincing, which is a serious letdown when I think of how I felt at the end of season 1. I am not even sure I can finish it out at this point. Seriously sad about this.

VERY dark…

Although this podcast is very well produced and written with good voice actors, it was very tough to listen to. I enjoy listening to fiction podcasts as a form of escape but these storylines could have been taken from a current news stream. (I guess the title should have tipped me off…)

Engagingly bingeable

The writing and acting work together to make this one a must listen on car trips or long runs. Make sure to put it on autoplay so you don’t have to fumble around to keep listening. All the twists and turns will keep you alert and wanting to know what happens next!

Could Not Stop Listening

This was my listen while straining for my half marathon. It made training a breeze because it was SO GOOD. The story, the characters, the voices and other sounds really made for a thrilling experience.

Suspense, drama, originality

This is a fantastic series and so fresh. It has me biting my nails, surprises me, and breaks up the darkness with occasional humor. For me, characters are everything. These characters are super interesting. Well written, well acted, well done.

The perfect suspense.

My girlfriend's and I all agreed this was such a great podcast. We would be texting after listening to each episode. We ended up turning it into our book club “book” because we were all so in to it. Loved it!

Love it!

Suspenseful, surprising, and a little scary! Makes me feel all the emotions. The kind of show where you just have to continue to sit in your car and finish the episode even though you’ve already reached your destination. Can’t wait to hear more!

This show is a non-stop, edge of your seat type of show. Do not start listening if you don’t have at least three or four hours to binge because YOU WILL WANT TO!! Suspense At Its Finest!

A phenomenal psychological thriller

Sound is 5 stars. Acting is 5 stars. Total engagement in the twists and turns and mysterious-ness of this story is 5+stars along with almost complete disorientation from reality while listening is 5+++ stars. Seriously, this is one of those “hold on; let me pause my movie before you talk to me” podcasts. Can’t miss a second and can’t wait for the future 💯
