DogdayzeWhat every dog needs us to understandI’ve been in dog rescue since 1998 and somehow became the area’s so called aggression expert. I wasn’t, but had the incredible good fortune to live 15 minutes from Sue Sternberg. The things we know now compared to then open new avenues of hope for troubled dogs, and no one explains them with more understanding and compassion than Michael. I highly recommend getting the subscription.

65!!Andrew Hale episodeWonderful session. I’m 70 yrs old; been a prof trainer & study behavior for almost 30 years. The changes i’ve seen over the years is dramatic. We indeed, need to take care of our “bob”. Such great info & insight for new comers and us “oldies” alike. Thanks Mike. Always a pleasure

DragonSnatchIf you listen to ONE podcast in this show- make it the one with Tim LewisThis was one of the most insightful and detailed, fact based conversations this show has seen. I don’t write reviews often, but I felt compelled after this episode. I’ll be very honest, the show as a whole is insanely informative regularly, and maybe having a scientist confirm all of the observations and conclusions pertaining to canine behavior I’ve pontificated through years of training dogs confirmed was so empowering perhaps dopamine hit is still guiding this review, but this episode was chock full of invaluable information for trainers and behavior consultants to utilize while mitigating aggression cases as well as ANY cases involving all types of behavior alignment. That said- if you’re a professional and have never listened to this show before, start here and work your way through every episode in the series. I don’t think there is another training podcast consistently putting out such accurate and useful information in a way that is not vague, cryptic or boring. There is no such thing as a crappy guest on this show, I don’t know how he does it, but his line up has been top notch since day one, if you’re a dog dork? Don’t miss a single show.

Filly Bu$terGood informationInteresting guests & good host but… I wish host would give more directive & shorter questions. He tends to ask rambling & longwinded questions that shorten guests’ time. You tell us what a novice you are but you use expert’s time.

podcaster11223:)IncredibleAmazing podcast for those who want to dig deep into the dog world - and not just aggression! Michael always has quality guests and really knows how to ask them the best questions to get the best information out of them in their specific area of interest. I really love this content.

redplanterlifeHumble and extremely professionalI’ve been in the veterinary, shelter and behavior field for 16 years. I’ve attended countless conferences and continuing education seminars on behavior, and I truly feel that Mike Shikashio is in the top 10% of trainers. If you’re looking for information that leans heavily towards positive reinforcement and building a trusting relationship with dogs that are displaying aggression, then he’s a excellent resource. I feel like if I was his client and he didn’t have an answer for my problem/question, he would be honest and say he didn’t know or refer me to another trainer or veterinary behaviorist. He truly seems interested in learning from others. No one can ever know it all. He is a breath of fresh air and excellent example of professionalism for all behavior professionals.

CjbbmlAwesome!!!I listen to so many dog behavior podcasts (you might say I’m a bit of a junky) and this one is now at the top of my list. I replay almost every one as there is just so much good information on dog behavior - and not just aggression. I can’t recommend this enough. Great job, Mike! I’m so glad you got around to doing this - I guess we can thank the pandemic you now have the time...

Yyeellhhssaa987654321Just what the dog world needsMike is a pro at structuring these podcasts so they’re informative and engaging and you feel like you’re right in the room. Can’t wait to see who the upcoming guests will be (fingers crossed for Dr Reisner at some point!).

Estelle MackAmazing! When I heard that Michael Shikashio had his own podcast serie in the works, I could not wait! Not surprising, the first episode featuring Dr. Pachel did not fail to meet my expectations! I admire both of their expertise so much and how down to earth they both are and explain things in layman’s terms. As the mom of several reactive dogs, I always learn something that helps me get a better understanding of my dogs and their emotional states. Cannot wait to listen to episode 2 and for my webinar with Michael with Fenzi on resources guardian a human. Way to go, Michael!!!
