Love Gilmore, loved learning about Buffy, love this show!

I discovered this pod when they were nearly done reviewing both shows, so I had the joy of getting to listen to multiple episodes every week to catch up to live. I’m already feeling sad not having Bryan and Stacey in my ears every day, and I can’t wait for more comic content!

This is my absolute favorite podcast! Once I finally got caught up, and now that Bryan and Stacey are reading/watching the Buffy comics and A Year in the Life, I was curious to hear their initial options about everything again, and I enjoyed the pod just as much the second time around! Bryan and Stacey are so funny, and it is truly a joy to listen to two intelligent and funny people discuss two of my favorite shows. I’m a Buffy fan through and through, a Buffy buff, if you will, so much so that it’s one of the first things I tell people when I’m getting to know them. Meeting Sarah Michelle Gellar is my whole bucket list. But Gilmore Girls is also one of my top shows, and what a stroke of brilliance to pair them! I can’t wait to see what these two come up with next; I will certainly be consuming whatever kind of content they put out.

You two were cracking me up with your anti bidet talk. Do you think there is manual soap and lathering involved? Did I get that right? You might want to read a how-to for a bidet because I think you guys have the wrong idea with how bidet use goes down lol. Five stars just for that

Y’all are good. Both of you have different opinions than me on a handful of things in both shows (both shows I’ve seen: Buffy way more than once, Gilmore Girls a couple times, but only through season 4ish and the 4-part sequel), but I respect it and dig your commentary. I actually like hearing y’all’s sides when I don’t agree because you’re having fun with the shows and with each other. Thank you for doing this podcast and I’m happy I’m late to the party so I can binge through these fast. Also! Bryan! I am listening to 2.22 right now and you just said “I guess you can argue that season 5 ends in a cliff hanger,” in response to Stacey talking about this finale being more of a cliff hanger than season 1… and i just have to say…bravo, my friend. And the fact that you didn’t even laugh. You kept that together without losing it?!?! Incredible. You probably knew you just made the best joke and you couldn’t say anything and had to let it lie. Loved it. Bravo. I’m happy y’all have covered through to season 5 atp so that I can make this review guilt-free. You got me. I’ve been listening for a long time and can’t believe it’s finally at the end. For a smaller pod, somehow a coworkers of mine also listens and we discovered our shared love recently. Shout out Liz and Ryan! Cannot wait for whatever you two decide to do next, I’m along for the ride no matter what!

I love Buddy and Gilmore Girls and found your podcast after I had recently rewatched both and it was so fun to see the side-by-side of how similar these shows really are. Very entertaining!

Wanted to like this but had to stop listening. I don’t understand people that watch TV and expect complete realism. It’s a funny joke in Buffy that the town is so ignorant to the paranormal but they bring up all the time how it’s weird. It’s a TV show!! Also the hosts’ comedy is not my humor.

I appreciate this podcast so much! Really. I come from a family of sisters and young mom who had me at 18, so Lorelei of her. We grew up watching both Buffy and GG, renting both from the library and binging the shows. My family all loves both shows, and I love and every episode makes me feel like home. My younger sister is a bigger Buffy/Angel fan, me GG, so it’s given me a great excuse to remember facts and plot, and have conversations with her. On a side note, I work as a victims advocate for survivors of SA and DV…. Pretty heavy, yay for social work. Your podcast is very nice to decompress to after work, or after heavy calls, so thank you for so much humor and love for the things I love too. I love your game takes (LOVED the RESI 4 remake and newer DLC, the Quarry, Eldritch Horror, etc) and horror movie reviews, so hearing those other interests is also a fun connection.

I am in utter disbelief that this amazing podcast exists. Buffy + Gilmore Girls are my 2 absolute favorite shows of all time, so the fact that there’s a rewatch podcast that combines BOTH of them just blows my freaking mind. The hosts have great chemistry, and their quick wit makes this podcast even that much more enjoyable. Thank you both for creating this little slice of nostalgic bliss.

Seven seasons of two very different shows that weirdly have more in common than you’d think, and Bryan and Stacey covered them all. And it was a hilarious, great time! 10/10 recommend! FIVE stars!

Found this podcast when you were in season four, binged it and absolutely loved it. You guys are absolutely hilarious, I (impatiently) wait for Tuesdays to come with a new episode, can’t believe this is almost over. I am one of those people who listen on repeat because, just like the shows you analyze, there’s just so much going on that you need to go over them again to get the full experience. I would love for you guys to listen to the pod and see how right or wrong you were…and laugh at the clues you couldn’t get before. I grew up watching Buffy & Gilmore and love both shows- this podcast is my dream. I have listened since the early seasons and it is my absolute favorite podcast. I’m so sad the show is coming to an end but it’s been an incredible journey. I have never reviewed a podcast before but this is an must-listen.

I don’t know what I’ll do when this podcast is over! I’ve been listening since the beginning and boy has been a ride. I loved Buffy since 1997 when it premiered and then I watch Gilmore and loved it. I have enjoyed the comedy and super in depth analysis of both shows. Can’t wait to see what you guys do next.

This podcast has taken me back to the first time I watched both Buffy and Gilmore! For two shows that are on the surface very different I enjoy how you point out the similarities. Both witty and smart I have thoroughly enjoyed this walk down memory lane. I hope you plan to cover A Year in the Life. It definitely has a lot of flaws, in my opinion, so I can’t wait to hopefully hear y’all’s take.

My husband and I used to listen to this podcast on the car ride to and from my prenatal appointments. Now my son is 7 months old. i’ve been listening to this podcast since like season 3 and ngl i can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years. i’ve listened to this podcast everytime i went to sleep for the past 2 years🤑. I’ve memorized season 3.14 (what’s he doing with a ladle) , season 3.16 (smart seething, and sexually awakened) , and season 4.2 (soul sucking roommates) bc those are my favs. I feel like we were just at season 5.1 (Dracula) which is crazy dawg. okay bye🤑🤑🤑🤑

Great podcast! I work at a horse farm and binged this while cleaning stalls and feeding horses. can't get enough sad it's almost over! Hope you continue to do another after this I'd be there to listen! You guys make even my saddest days bad. Found this podcast on New Year’s 2022 (2021 to 2022 more specifically), caught up in 3 months and have been hooked weekly since. These two play so well off each other and are SO entertaining. When I found your show about six months ago, I was a bit concerned about the comedic element because I’m a serious Buffy fan. No worries, you balance affection and irreverence for both these shows SO well! I binged away and caught up about four months ago, and now I have to wait FOREVER (aka one week) for each subsequent episode, although I am glad to have caught up with you in time to leave a review while you’re still producing. You’re wonderful story tellers, have such astute observations, and are an absolute joy to listen to. Your show immediately became my favorite podcast and continues to be. I’ve actually been waiting to submit a review because I was thinking about your next iteration, and I have a really solid suggestion. If you use the same format and review Warehouse 13 and Maisel, it would be MARVELOUS (ahem). If you’re not familiar with Warehouse 13, I’ve always thought of it as a comparative show to Buffy. It covers dark themes from a campy vantage point, is sci-fi and about Saving The World, involves a motley crew of interconnected colleagues who all have their own past and are devoted (and challenging) to each other as well as their mission, and it is SUPER creative. And of course, Maisel is highly comparable to Gilmore, and there’s SO much to say about her world! Warehouse 13 was 64 episodes, and Maisel will be about 50 when they’re done. So they are pretty close there as well. Please, could you tell us those stories next? 🥹 You’re wonderful, individually, and as a couple. Last year my coworker agreed to watch Buffy with me, only if I agreed to watch Gilmore Girls. I was already a fan of a few Buffy podcasts, but I needed a Gilmore Girls podcast to even things out. So imagine my surprise when I find the perfect podcast for my extremely niche situation… I legitimately could not believe me ears. And things only got better when I started listening, Bryan and Stacey’s banter made the viewing experience so much better. I’m honestly sad that we’re getting to the end, so Im writing this review mainly to suggest other shows I’d like to hear these two gab about. So here goes; True Blood, LOST, Heroes, The Walking Dead, Chuck, Supernatural. I could go on… but imagining this show end is making me too sad. Oh and Bryan, you should check out the following board games; Dead of Winter, Terraforming Mars, Queen Domino, and The Game of Thrones board game.

Been listening since the beginning of 2022 and this is basically the only podcast I listen to. You guys are super funny and I really enjoy the perspective you bring to these two shows I love. In addition to catching the new episodes and Angel Only Fans every week, I also use this podcast as my sleep story. Maybe a poor choice because you guys are the exact opposite of boring, but it keeps my brain occupied so I’m not fidgeting while I wait to fall asleep.
