For the artists who didn’t go to art school
So rare to find a podcast that actually walks you through the steps of how to go about doing something. So many other pods give vague descriptions of marketing by saying “just post to Insta every x days” or “submit your artwork by following the instructions on the company website” but not many walk you through the steps of doing that, explain exactly what to post, submit, etc, or explain the why. Thank you ladies! Keep it up. Would be happy to support in other ways if you ever need it.

    Happened upon
Was looking for pattern design and this podcast popped up. Can’t seem to stop listening. I will soon have listened to the whole first year in a couple of months. I have been told that I was artistic since I was a child but sadly I have never been able to pursue my dream of being an artist. This gives me encouragement that the dream is in reach and not too far fetched. Making time to do art is difficult because I work full time and am taking online classes pursuing a bachelors degree as a job requirement. I listen on Podbean because I use it to do my church podcast. I will be 63 this year and I feel now that it’s not too late for me to get started!

Each episode has a well thought out topic, and often features an artist who is also business professional. Engaging, friendly, and informative - I definitely recommend.

    Real advice from “Real” artists
If you are 50 yrs old or 20 something, these girls are relatable! Nikki & Laura share their fears and desires as Artists with humor and easy to follow actions! Their interviews are spot on for those of us who are tired of being in our heads, and ready to put one foot in front of the other. I feel like I have a couple of new art friends, who I meet with every Wednesday to hold me accountable for that weeks action steps.

A great addition to my podcast listening
I love the easy relationship between Laura and Nikki! It’s like listening to two good friends talk about their lives as artists….WAIT It IS two good friends talking about their lives as artists. And that is what makes the podcast so approachable and fun to listen to. I love that Laura and Nikki are bringing their own experiences to the process of being an artist. We are all in this process together and learning from each other is a time honored form of wisdom sharing. I look forward to future episodes!
