    Investing Can Be Simple
Great show and supporting website! The episodes give simple advice why a long term investing philosophy not only is simpler, but actually, more often than not, generates superior returns. Great guests support the message. My favorite series was the investing in your 20’s, your 30’s, through to your 60’s. Good information for all ages.

    Making Investing Simple
Peter is a practical genius! In each episode of The Long Term Investor he uses examples that I can easily relate to. His fact based approach helps put emotion aside and invest more confidently. I definitely recommend this podcast whether you are 16 or 61! Note- when Peter says he responds to emails, he means it! He also took the time to speak to call me about my questions with no selling. I’m sleeping better at night with less worrying over money matters.

    Episode with Khe Hy
Foul language. Please don’t include guests who can’t help from using f-bomb repeatedly. There is no excuse to talk that way.

Episode 73 with Andrew Berlin, PhD
Peter’s podcast interviewing Andrew Berkin, really distills the flaws in long term active management of investment dollars. It is not a pretty way to underperform. The podcast makes a compelling case for passive management that wins with broad index and index factor funds, sound diversification, and low costs. Listening to the podcast is time well spent especially if you keep shifting your portfolio to follow the last “hot” money manager of the day.

  • 72 Rule
    Rule of 72
The presentation presents some good ideas on the spending side (e.g. how to control impulse buying). However, on the savings side, the importance of compounding and time are noted, but not driven home with a concrete example (I.e. the rule of 72). In these times of low super low interest rates, if listeners hear that it will take, for example, 18 years longer for their savings to double if they earn 2% rather than 4%, that will grab their attention (more than hearing the quotes of the start of some of the book’s chapters) and help them realize they need investment advice via the book or a professional advisor.

High value content - worth the listen!
Peter is a fantastic communicator and this format fits his ideas perfectly. I’ve read his book and his blogs, and his podcast includes the same depth of thoroughly researched and tested ideas, packaged in engaging stories. I highly recommend his episode on How He Invests his money. Internalize these concepts, they will make you rich.

Real money talk for real people
Lazaroff is one of the few financial “gurus” I’ll stop and listen to on the reg. He gives guidance and advice with just enough actionable specificity to be helpful without delving into vague and lofty financial platitudes you get from other so-called gurus. Great podcast.

    Simple but effective!
This podcast does not give us magical solutions, but provides us with simple, yet effective processes to follow that will help guide us to a financially stable life and retirement. Episode 1 reminds us why saving over time is so important, whether we are contributing large sums or a small amount - time will benefit both! I highly recommend this podcast to those who are wanting support on financial choices over time, but don't want to be burdened with boring financial talk that can be overwelming and confusing.

    The Long Term Investor
As an educated person, my financial knowledge is somewhat limited. Peter Lazaroff in his “Making Money Simple” and his many communications have given me great confidence in the world of understanding finances. Peter gives clear, concise information while adding a component to make the information interesting and understandable. That ability is an asset that is invaluable to those of us whose expertise is elsewhere!

    Investing Made Simple
Peter has a natural way of distilling complex financial topics and investment strategies in a way that non-sophisticated investors can digest. He provides good frameworks for investors to plan for their financial futures and think about investment risk. If you’re looking for digestible investment insights then The Long-Term Investor is the podcast for you.

It’s like the blog, but BETTER
I’m embarrassed to say that I have read ever blog written by Peter over the last 5 years and have always found his easy-to-digest financial content so refreshing. This podcast is no different - but the format is so helpful for multitasking. I can be running errands, cleaning, cooking, etc and still be positioning myself to better understand how to steward my finances. Can’t wait for more!!

    Clear and practical financial advice
I really like Lazaroff's pragmatic approach to investing. He takes a long-term view and a more stable approach to investing than many advisors these days. I'm not a fan of advisors who recommend frequent money movement, which generates income for the brokerage, but not necessarily for the investor. Lazaroff's recommendations to choose a well-balanced portfolio and let compounding work its magic really resonates with me.
