I have never in my life found a more talented and vivid story teller a true Master at his craft. His tales have literally saved my life while going to brought hard times.

Well written and excellently done. Chester is one of my favorite characters. Drew Blood’s voice characterizations are perfect for horror podcasts. Great job!

I came across this podcast the other day and love the stories. Some are horror comedy which is a very rare combination, but the stories are well written, and the voice narration is amazing.

I have been thoroughly enjoying Drew Blood’s Dark Tales. Then I got to season 3 episode 16 moishe mendelheim. It was was horrible, I wish I could have reviewed just it. The narrator was terrible, the story was terrible, the mendenrama joke was old before it happened. It took every fiber of my being to not skip it. I should have. Skip this episode, you won’t miss anything.

This podcast.. how can I word it.. it’s homey in a weird way I love it, it really makes me feel at home. So in conclusion LISTEN TO IT!!!

Normally I’m a big audiobook listener. Most podcasts I listen to are True Crime or mma type podcasts. So when I came across this one I was interested but didn’t expect much. I really loved the few episodes I’ve listened to so far. Great storytelling. Interesting stories and I love the idea of taking submissions from people. Edit… about 50 episodes in and I have a new favorite podcast!

I subscribe to several Chilling Entertainment podcasts, and Drew Blood’s Dark Tales is the absolute best of the bunch. The stories are so well written compared to the other podcasts, and the narration lures you in and keeps you hooked. I look forward to Drew Blood’s Dark Tales every week.

I feel like I’ve been listening to podcast since their exception… I have always loved them. I lost my vision about eight years ago and I have really dived into them even more intentionally since then this is the first podcast that I’ve actually graded commented and even downloaded episodes of… His voice, the stories he chooses even if some of them I’ve heard on other podcast… This guy is just simply amazing!!

Some episodes are great. Others? Eh… not so much.

So it’s a great show I love it am addicted 😐😅 so when i listened to ALL the episodes I was sad 😢 because I know it’s hard to create episodes but maybe just maybe you could make TWO episodes a week? Anyway I loooooveeee the story’s but my favorite 🤩 was the one about that old guy falling in love with his young like helper lady? At first I was hesitant 😬 and as a person who hates cleaning this is my escape from life I love it keep up the great work!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Updated 8/4/24 Really could use some more Horror/Dark Comedy or some adventure tales featuring kids in peril from Drew. Kinda hoping he and Chester can churn some out this week. Fingers crossed. Love ya pal I’ve been listening to horror story podcasts for 8-10 years. Last year I discovered Drew Blood’s Dark Tales. I was apprehensive at first, thinking nothing could compete with NSP but now I’ve gotten to where I’m on the edge of my seat each week waiting for another episode to air. I listen to podcasts when working in my gardens and while walking the dogs and today I was outside for HOURS! This weeks two hour story Bayou Blood parts 1&2 was just what I needed. Now I’m getting ready to walk the dogs and I’m jonesing for more. Guess I’ll start the show over again from the beginning 😉

Who are those yappy annoying women that play after Drew‘s stories? It started about a month or two ago and I cannot figure out who they are. But they are annoying as heck. If I wanted to listen to gossipy high school girls, there are lots of podcasts out there that I can tune into. Or just go to my high school reunions. Love his stories for the most part. They’re not all winners but the majority are fantastic.

It’s weird, gross, and lazy writing when your “horror” is just violence against women. The world isn’t like that, just say you’re sexist and move on. I listen because SOME stories Drew reads are fantastic, but so many are just lame gross Stephan King wannabes 😒

I listen to Drew Blood consistently and usually love his story telling. An avid follower of this podcast, I was very disappointed in his choice of this author but I decided to give it a listen in spite of my misgivings. This week his choice of this disgusting author and his destruction of Christmas, Santa and his reindeer went too far. When you have to hatchet reindeer and give Santa a hand job in order to get a reaction, you are not a good author, and Drew made a mistake in this choice. I won’t be listening for a while. And I hope others do same.

I like this podcast but they add suggested podcast to the that have nothing to do with this type of podcast. The last episode was nearly two hours long and half of it was some random podcast. Please stop doing this.

Love this podcast, Drew is funny and I love his narration!

I shouldn’t love this as much as I do - but his character is so lovable! Great, deep, gravely, baritone voice. And the stories are long, so you don’t need to queue up 5 to last an hour. And genuinely queasy, awful, engaging stories that you’ll more than half listen to while you’re on a zoom work meeting. Highly recommend!

As an avid listener of podcasts and narrated novels, I found myself listening to Chilling Tales for Dark Nights. I binged my way through all the stories and still wanted more! I listen to a bunch of horror fiction podcasts. And I like 80% of the episodes on this one, BUT they keep allowing pedophilia type stories to slip through the cracks now and then, OR under age stuff with teen characters. Over it. Not ok.

I’ve got an issue, and it’s not only with this particular show. I’m noticing lately that a LOT of the stories end with the person telling the story dying at the end. That kinda ruins the story for me. I mean, if the storyteller dies, then who’s left to tell the story? C’mon folks, you might need to proofread these stories, or tell the writers to step it up a bit.

Just finished “The Oriental” and that drivel was not worth a two hour episode. Nothing from that author has been good, but sitting through an entire story that actually had a good premise just for the author to drop the ball, again, really leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Drew and those who write his lines are great though.

…….was the story that did it for me. I don’t get scared a lot, but this story gave me that “look over your shoulder” moment that we all love. This was fun to listen to with trying to figure it out. The devil is always in the details and oh my! The author completely nailed it. Love this podcast, the dry humor, the sarcasm and sound effects! *chefs kiss*

Hey Chester!! Drew's intros, outros, and attempts at impersonating female voices crack me up. I don't know how Drew managed to lure Chester out west, but Chester's family lives down in the Cajun bayou behind my casa and they miss him terribly. His mom wishes he would call sometime. But I let them hear Chester's voice when he's talking in Drew's podcasts and they are proud of him for becoming famous. 🥹

Love the podcast. There are too many commercials interrupting the stories. Commercials at the beginning and the end of the podcast would be helpful for clarity

Now this is the kind of content I come here for. This outpaces all other scary story podcasts for interesting content, delightful voice, and personality. I’m never happier than when I sit down with my earbuds in and hear “well, hello again, friend” in that gravelly Texan voice. So smoke ‘em if you got ‘em and drink those glasses to the bottom, because once Drew Blood invites you into his house for a drink and a tale… you’ll never leave again.
