Best Actual Play on the scene right now
If you want a podcast with awesome narratives and world building that actually keeps an improve and player control idea this is the only real one
  • Viol78
    So unique
If you are looking for a completely unique and intricately world-built real play podcast than this is the one for you! I just caught up and now I’m sad because I’ll have to wait for the new episodes!

    This is a good one
It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed an actual play this much. The mouse/food puns melted me down and built my body anew

    Yall have driven me insane.
I’m on episode 49 and the last…….. 5 episodes have been SO INSANELY TWISTY AND TASTY that they’ve set a new standard for live play podcasts for me. I am literally actually taking story telling notes for my own campaigns. You’re all master storytellers.
  • Thomas the Hermit
    So fun-loving and original
I never thought I would enjoy listening to people I didn’t know play a game, but the campaign is creative and the party hilarious. This group is in full chaos mode with a mix of touching, exciting, and very messed-up moments. And they’re so free with their laughter that it makes me want to join in the fun.

    Listen to BCBP!
Do not pass go and don’t collect $200—download Episode 1 right now! You need to listen to this! Burnt Cook Book Party is probably my favorite actual-play podcast out there right now—it never ceases to surprise me, the DM’s worldbuilding and plotting is incredible, every PC is so well-developed and interesting, and it’s also so funny it makes me laugh like a maniac on the bus to work. I caught up to the latest episode and immediately went and started re-listening to it from episode 1 all over again—it’s that good. If you’re more familiar D

    Great Pathfinder podcast
I was looking to find pathfinder podcasts to learn pathfinder after the OGL thing like Bestow Curse and Brunt Cookbook Party but my only complaint is that they say they’re a DND podcast which made it hard to find I didn’t know about it until Join The Party mentioned them

    A rip roaring good time
I’ve literally listened to this like 5x. Y’all it’s such a good time. Justin’s story telling & world building? Superb. The character work? Unmatched. The improv? Genuinely funny. 10/10

    Love it!
I found this podcast from a recommendation from Anthony Burch, and am so glad he mentioned it. I really love the characters (a Janni inspired NPC made an appearance in my own DnD campaign 😁) and the conspiracy storylines. My son is also a fan, and I am happy to be a patreon member too. Keep up the good work!

    Lovin’ it
Ya gotta try this one out, great stuff☺️ plus I really like the little beep boop music at end, it’s a good time.

    Good stuff
Great and distinct characters with fun backstories. A lot of rich world building, even if most of it goes over my head because I can’t remember the names of anyone or anything. Once the story gets going it’s very interesting with engaging stakes. I would blow up a build for Patty.

A great new DnD (Pathfinder) podcast
    Loving it

    Everything’s fantastic!
I love everything about this podcast! Each role player, the dm, the group dynamic, the story, the character flaws, the good rolls, the bad. I’m here for it all and you should be too!

    These folks are great
The players are fun, the characters are dynamic, and the story is really interesting and the details are super impressive.

    Good fun show
I really enjoy this show. They have a great story and they are entertaining to listen to.

    Good fun
Great show with interesting characters and a very well built world. Sometims I do get a bit confused about where the characters are in the world because it’s so large. All in all love listening to this story develop and learning more about the characters

    Quality TTRPG Funtime
These folks are fantastic! Witty, funny, intriguing role playing in sweet homebrew setting and system. Love it!
  • BasilToothpaste
    Absolutely fantastic 😂
This podcast is both hilarious and intriguing! Four endearingly ridiculous characters making their way through a complex and serious situation leads to a LOT of shenanigans. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes fantasy, D&D, and general mayhem.
  • Mr. Michael 13
Ridiculous, but in a good way
My favorite character is the real life socialite known for blowing up buildings lol

Baby Angel stans make some noise
I love this show! It’s a great slide into Pathfinder for people who may only be familiar with DnD 5e actual play shows so far, and I’m LOVING the worldbuilding and characters. End of ep 6 really pops off!! Since the show is biweekly and the gaps between episodes are a little longer, have you considered doing a quick “previously on” recap at the start of eps to keep listeners up to date? Definitely would not go unappreciated!

    What an excellent podcast!

A Must Listen for TTRPG Fans
I’ve fallen in love with BCBP. There is something so great about the ludicrous characters being played so sincerely and despite everything seeming ridiculous out of context (battle chefs using magic to fight? A rat that graces the front pages of gossip rags? A loveable himbo war veteran with a deep knowledge of history? A woman who is definitely who she says she is?) it makes complete complete sense in universe. Where something so off the wall might normally make me secondhand embarrassed BCBP had instead made me love every second by giving every wild moment legitimacy. It’s a blast! The story has been just as fun to follow as it’s unique characters which is really saying something.

    Hilarious and charming
I am always looking for new shows to listen to on my bike commute— immediately fell in love with this one! You can tell the players are having a lot of fun with it, and all of their characters are somehow both completely ridiculous and utterly believable. May not be the best for the bike commute though, as during episode 7 I almost fell of my bike from laughing so hard! Highly, highly recommend.

    Sublime!
I was for a cooking podcast. Something different. Ran across this by pure chance and I am hooked! The characters are well thought out, the world is described richly, but the chemistry between the cast is what really sells it. This is just fun!
  • The_Elchaseo
    Great table top podcast!
Wonderful chemistry between the players and GM. Great voices good pacing. This is quickly becoming a favorite.
  • arijae5717
    Witty, wild, and well thought
I’m so excited to have found this show as it’s just starting, because it feels like it’ll be somethings special. The characters are so creative and absolutely delightful, and it’s pretty clear the crew have been connected for a while with all the chemistry they have together. Looking forward to hearing how this story plays out. I’ll also say, I wish this was around when I was first learning pathfinder because I could find so few good pathfinder shows with players who all seem to like and care about each other.
  • nmansp
    Creative, Surprising, Hilarious
Not only does this podcast have extremely creative character concepts, it also has some of the best puns and a dm who seems a natural at embodying the world they have built. Zelf is so incredibly creative, with a ton of depth, and such a fun vibe of a character. Astra’s crafty and deceptive nature do well to affect the world around her in unique ways. Patty is someone who’s entire backstory I am just dying to learn. And Johnny. I would die for Johnny. Certainly a different world than other games I’ve played in or listened to, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s unique and interesting right off the bat and I absolutely can’t wait for more.

    Fantastic Fun!!
I can quickly see this become a favorite actual play podcast of mine. The table has wonderful chemistry, with a great mixture of character-building and hilarious moments. The world building feels deep and interesting (I have many questions!) but I never feel like the characters are out of place. Looking forward to new episodes! Do yourself a favor and give it a listen!!
