I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts over the years, many about how to run a creative business. None of them have come even close to being as helpful as Called to Both! Joy has really nailed her niche down perfectly, because everything she says sounds like she’s talking directly one-on-one with me! I’ve loved all of her insights, encouragement, and education. Being both a mom and entrepreneur can feel really isolating and neither one has any roadmap to follow, so the journey can be stressful and overwhelming to say the least. But this podcast has helped reduce both so much and given me tons of practical tools and important reminders. It’s one I look forward to tuning into weekly and I always, always take something away from the episodes. Joy covers SO much and both solo and guest episodes always speak right to me. I’m almost fully caught up and will be sad when I am but will continue to devour each new episode released!

I am definitely not the target market of this podcast but I find Joy’s podcast episode so helpful! She covers so much in a huge bank of episodes! She’s constantly releasing episodes too which has become such a part of my routine. The best part is that each episode is short and hit-the-ground-running actionable! I also love it from the perspective of motherhood and parenting which we need more conversations around!

I’ve been following Joy for a while and everything she shares has been so valuable, even down to the book recommendations. And her voice is so calming! I pop my headphones in and listen to the podcast while making my toddler breakfast and it makes me feel like I’m working towards bettering my business, even during this season of my business where work has been all but impossible. There’s so much useful info but it’s the daily encouragements that are so impactful to me. She has amazing guests. It’s motivating just to hear other moms doing the thing. Highly recommend for busy moms at any phase of their business.

I found Joy a few years ago on YouTube and followed her from there to Instagram, and now to her podcast. Joy gives solid bite sized bits of advice that doesn’t ever leave you feeling overwhelmed with “just ANOTHER THING to do”, and even if it isn’t applicable to you at this moment in your business journey, it is still inspiring and makes you feel very motivated and passionate about getting there!! Her advice seems like small realistic steps to help you reach your goals. Her guests have all been great as well and each one individually has provided amazing advice! Some are quick easy listening that I can take in while doing absolutely anything, and others are worthy of dedicated attention and note taking! I love this podcast!!

I’ve been a long time YouTube fan for a while now - but soon as I heard that she started a podcast I listened to every single episode in one sitting. The content that she truly puts out for us mamas where we are literally called to both will be in tact with your feelings, ambitions, goals, dreams & conflicts we face as both parents and strong willed business owners. It’s not only that we are called to both - it’s also for the moments that we are called to both - yet need to answer the calling for one a little more than the other & learning to balance it all in between while creating the successful business & the motherhood we envision for ourselves and family no matter what the situation we’re in. The moments where I’m scrambling to finish up work because my daughter woke up from her nap early (or didn’t nap at all), giving post it notes to my daughter while on a call with a client & making sure she knows she’s loved and heard at the same time, and learning to navigate the moments where I have all of this energy, ideas & vision for my business but yet lack the time to make it happen - you’ll resonate with at least one moment in every episode, I promise you. As a military wife & family, having a business that needs to thrive no matter where I call home, when there’s no family around for help - resources & certain outsourcing are limited and I’m a one woman show in both parenthood and business at times - I can’t thank you enough for creating such a space to resonate with so much. Don’t second guess this podcast - you won’t regret it giving a listen.
