Such a great podcast! I really feel like she talks about problems that current teachers face! I also don’t feel so isolated and a lone in all of the craziness that is happening. Glad I found this podcast and recommend it to any current or new teacher

    Great Resource to Help Educators
I am new to your podcast but what I have listened to so far is fantastic. I am doing a professional learning on Teacher Burnout for our spring semester in our district and this is going to be a great resource to provide our teachers. I loved the AI won't solve burnout episode and your point about making boundaries and though AI may buy back our time, we have to be careful of just not adding more to our plates. The virtual conference has been great thus far.

Amazing and Helpful Thoughts and Suggestions
All of the different topics in this podcast are super relevant to teachers currently. Teaching has changed drastically just in the past decade and there are new issues I face on an almost daily basis that I would have never even considered when I started teaching 14 years ago. This podcast has great ideas and had helped me to rethink my own burnout.

A thoughtful examination of an underreported topic
Being a teacher has never been harder in my nearly quarter century career, in part because of the increased expectations and demands placed on a teacher. What I like about this podcast is that it acknowledges the reality that modern teachers face and give us real life strategies for dealing with it in a meaningful way. Thank you.

    Burnout is Real!
I just listened to Episode 118, and it really resonated with me! I’m in my 25th year of teaching, but I just started in a new district last year. I went from being a teacher who had set healthy boundaries to being a non-tenured teacher trying to get tenure this year. As a result, I don’t have boundaries because tenure is my why. As Brittany pointed out, this has put too much pressure on me. She’s right that we need to prioritize ourselves in order to be best for our students. Thank you for the reminder! I’m looking forward to more of these insightful podcasts! This came at just the right time for me.

    Relatable
This podcast is so relatable. I truly enjoyed listening to Podcast #105. Thanks for giving us permission. I had some difficulty settling down at the end of the school year. These lines were super powerful! “The best ideas come from silence.” - YES! “We need a break from the things we love the most.” Thanks for the permission to change up the routine.

Young teacher who needs this podcast!
I’m in my 3rd full year of teaching and I can’t express how often this podcast says EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I typically listen on my way to work, and the positive outlook of the podcast helps me to feel more prepared to face the day. This podcast helps to support teachers experiencing burnout without it feeling belittling. She talks about the reality of teaching without getting political. The concepts discussed apply to all teachers of every grade and subject because the focus often revolves around you as a teacher and fulfilling your needs. Thank you for all you do!

    Amazing Podcast!
I am so so thankful for this podcast. I started following Brittany after finding her Summer Self-Care conference last summer. I really struggled with finding the joy in teaching after COVID - the 2020-2021 school year was a VERY difficult one for me. Fast forward to this year - after attending her conference, I told myself I was going to take more time for myself because I couldn’t let this job continue to be my life. Now, I listen to this podcast in the morning when I’m getting ready for school to help ease my stress and continue to avoid burnout. Thanks for everything you are doing for teachers everywhere Brittany!

    Actionable “Professional Development” Teachers Need!
Whether you are a new or veteran teacher, this podcast offers sustainable strategies that will help empower positivity, self care, and avoid burnout! After teaching two years, I left the profession due to overwhelm and burnout. I returned a year later and have spent the past 13 years in education setting boundaries, avoiding energy vampires, encouraging positivity in the classroom and amongst colleagues. This podcast is a treasure of resources I wish I would have had many years ago. This is the “professional development” we as teachers actually need!

    Informative
Thank you so much for sharing all of this information. I am a relatively new teacher. I am not at the point of burn out but a lot of my colleagues are and I have watched a lot of good teachers leave the profession the last two school years. I know that people need to do what’s best for them but I am hoping that I won’t get to that point. Teaching can be exhausting but I’m trying to do everything that I can to prevent burnout. I do agree that when you are going through tough times it can be a blessing because it can show you what you are lacking and give you time to change things. One thing that helped me was adding different subjects to the curriculum to make it fun for the kids and me. Thank you again for your podcast and I’ll be listening to learn all the strategies to prevent teacher burnout.

    Hooked already!
I just found out about this podcast less than 24 hours ago, and after the year we all had, I really needed Brittany and her expertise. I listened to all the episodes on my evening walk and had so many “YES!!” moments. It was SO refreshing to hear Brittany put into words all the things I was feeling last year and still continue to feel. She was enjoyable to listen to and her manner of speaking is really conversational. I love that the episodes are short and sweet, and as someone with the attention span of a squirrel, I was able to focus without having my mind start thinking of other things. I’m really looking forward to Episode 4, because I really want to know the next steps in ending this stress cycle. Thank you, Brittany!!
