ClaireFutrellSimply the BestI struggled to find a good Fitness podcast that felt like it was meant for everyone. This podcast has become my go-to when I’m on the way to the gym, and sometimes even while I’m working out. The hosts are so relatable, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. I never feel “talked down to” or like I’m “not advanced enough” for the episode topic. Thank you guys so much for making this podcast. It keeps me motivated and makes me feel like I belong in the fitness community.

BridgeLS27LoveEasy listening and great topics!
-
PlzCallMePJContent is great - sound tech is awful!!!The subjects Tony and Marianne cover are relevant and fascinating. Love their humor and their perspectives on fitness trends. However, Marianna’s audio is sometimes so low you can’t hear, then gets super loud, then soft again…and so on. So irritating! Please get the tech figured out!
-
mjselfjourneyFor ALL fitness levels!!Everyone needs to listen to Marianna and Tony! They keep things real and simple regardless of your fitness level. I recommend them to all my family and friends!! Thanks for educating me during my long cardio sessions 🙏🏻
-
Marky (:Perfect fitness podcastGetting back into my health and fitness trying to find a podcast onto keeping me motivated and informed with so much info out there, this podcast has really helped and the host are super entertaining
-
InkswampGreat info, great hosts—no politicsThe hosts know their stuff and share a lot of great info. And best of all, no drifting into politics. Been going through fitness podcasts lately and have gotten fed up with the braindead political stuff being injected for no reason (looking at you MindPump!) it’s great to hear a duo who can stay on topic and make it engaging and entertaining. Thank you both and keep up the great work!
-
corandmonJust what I neededI'm new to this podcast and I am loving it. They are so easy to listen to. They explain the science behind things in ways that all can understand without dumbing it down. This has become my favorite go to podcast every time I jump into my car.
-
PorkChop💉Amazing Podcast. All Research BasedLove this podcast so much, no click bait and all of it is backed up with research and also how reliable the research or studies are. Listen to every episode almost within an hour of them uploading it. Helps break down fitness to everyday people. I enjoy the scientific nerdy stuff and often do my own research but sometimes hearing it in an easy more relatable way is great. Have gotten my girlfriend into it and she is far from scientific or nerdy type but does like to learn what can give her edge as far as fitness and health.
-
iNerd_47Best Fitness PodcastFound clips on instagram and loved them cuz they were concise but provided tons of helpful info. I later found out they had a podcast and started listening. One of the best fitness podcasts out there! I love that they provide research to back up their claims and simplify everything so that anyone can understand. They also cover a variety of topics which is super helpful. 10/10

Firedog shyCould not recommend enoughJust started getting more into nutrition, but wasn’t really sure where to even begin. Started listening to this podcast and found it very accessible without feeling dumbed down, and very informative without providing me with goals that feel unattainable or hard to understand. Every podcast I leave with something I want to change in my daily/weekly routine. Hosts are hilarious and not cringe which is a big plus for me lol

ybb08_Loving this podcast!Over the past couple of months, I found myself eagerly diving into every single episode of “Fitness Stuff (for normal people).” Marianna and Tony deliver content that is both engaging and informative, making complex fitness and nutrition topics easy to understand and apply. I was so impressed with the quality and depth of the information that I decided to upgrade to the premium version, and I’m thrilled I did. The extra episodes are packed with even more valuable insights and practical tips, and I found myself listening to them non-stop. This podcast is a perfect resource for anyone interested in learning more about fitness and nutrition in a relatable and accessible way. Whether you’re a beginner or someone with more experience, the content is tailored to help you improve your health and wellness. Their approach is down-to-earth and genuinely motivating, which makes each episode a joy to listen to. I highly recommend “Fitness Stuff (for normal people)” to anyone looking to enhance their fitness journey. If you enjoy it as much as I have, upgrading to the premium version is definitely worth the investment. The additional content adds so much value and has truly enriched my understanding of fitness and nutrition. Don’t miss out on this fantastic podcast!

MegsMusingsBalanced, realistic fitness and nutrition adviceThis podcast does a good job of providing succinct, actionable information while still acknowledging nuance and context. Love it!

SalsaB0yListen to this GOLD MINEI love tuning into this show and learning so much from you guys! I’m a new listener and I just finished parts one & two of the biggest scams. It’s shocking how marketing has impacted our world. From the foods we believe are healthier, to the crazy circus of losing fat. . Keep pulling back the curtain on this industry, it’s so refreshing to have educated discussions backed by basic science and proper studies! . I’ll definitely listen to your older episodes. Also for everyone that claimed Marianna was annoying for knowing her stuff needs to touch grass or go on a walk 😂 . Keep it up you guys!
-
Amy C217Really informative evidence-based podcastI love this podcast and subscribe to premium bc i appreciate how much they refer to evidence-based sources. Definitely check it out!!
-
Ben e louExcellent In Both Content and DeliveryOutstanding podcast! Both hosts are knowledgeable AND engaging, which is key. There are fitness podcasts out there with good info that are borderline unlistenable because of the hosts’ lack of ability to communicate in a way that keeps the listener’s attention. I like to listen to podcasts while I run, so I’m not wanting to have to skip past the boring stuff such as the hosts giving seemingly-endless “updates” on their own lives and training, or talking about a bunch of other junk like culture and politics. Marianna and Tony stay on topic, and when they do talk about themselves it is RELEVANT TO THE TOPIC AT HAND, and not just a bunch of unrelated drivel. Thanks so much for what y'all do and how y'all do it!
-
Tay12345610Great contentSo informative and they explain everything so well.
-
lmesservyLisaGreat content using science and common sense 💪

Jul1028Best Fitness Podcast YetI have tried EVERY fitness podcast in the books. Not only is Fitness Stuff the easiest to actually understand, but you can just tell how REAL they are. They specifically state that they make no profit off many of their discounts they offer, they just want to make it more accessible. They do SO much research for each episode, and every fact they give us is backed up by multiple, reliable studies. They have completely given me the motivation back that I lost after getting leg surgery a year ago. Cant say enough about them, and I’ve put all my friends and family on to them as well!
-
oudjtxjtSo informative!!I love the mindset y'all portray!! I am in my upper twenties and have been working on my health and fitness for a good 10 years now and have had ups and downs with it. Learning as I go and finally about 3 years ago did I finally change my mindset of doing this for future me and to feel good with myself. I absolutely love y’all’s podcast! Keep up the good informational work 💪🏻
-
Alpha ZOUKThis podcast has saved my life and made me a fitness nerd!I found this podcast through Instagram reels and it couldn’t had came at the right time. Long story short I been type 2 diabetic for the last 9 years and have struggled immensely battle the disease out. I finally feel like I have the best coaches in my pocket that don’t gatekeep any information and help out so much to understand our body , training routines and nutrition. I made the choice to do the premium membership for $5 a month and it’s the best investment I made that has given me so MUCH value in a couple episodes in. I can’t get info of this podcast it’s my favorite to listen to in the gym and on the go! Thank you too these two so much!!
-
Ef7571I’m learning so much!I’ve been lifting weights and working out for years so I sometimes feel like there’s not much left to change or learn, I’ve learned so much and changed my whole lifting routine because of this podcast. It’s very research based and facts only. It reminds me of biolaynes instagram and he is a fan of the show.
-
NMK98Love!My only complaint is I feel I need to sit down and take notes when I listen to this podcast because of how much information they offer!🤣
-
fitbit is awesomeAwesomeLove this and very informative
-
curlyseaSpectacular podcastLove this podcast, loaded with information with backed up research! This podcast makes me feel motivated for my personal fitness journey and shines light on so many different topics! Thank you for your hard work and dedication :)
-
Visual_samuraiOne of my favorite podcast by far! These two are sooo helpful, as a gal who loves fitness and wellness but consistently feels overwhelmed with the flood of contradicting information out in the internet, this podcast is a safe space for me to come to for study based information and guidance without any anterior motive of selling or promoting some supplement line or for a sponsorship. Love you guys, thank you for all of your help🫶🏻
-
Allejazmy favorite podcastI look forward to every Monday because every episode is quite literally better than the last. Tony and Marianna put out a wealth of well researched information, include all their references, cover a wide range of questions any fitness person might have no matter their experience, and they do it thoughtfully, energetically and genuinely. Not to mention, they’ve had some incredible guests on that I’ve come to follow as well. They’ve been an active part of my fitness journey and a go to source of information. Easily my favorite podcast of the year!
-
EvilokieAlways InformativeI really enjoy listening to this show. They provide lots of useful information in a fun and easy to understand way.
-
Atrain1313Great showGreat show look forward to it every Monday!!
-
hiphopchic66Not for normal peopleMost of the things they’re saying and promoting are for fitness people — People aspiring to gain a significant amount of muscle, not for people looking for functional fitness development. No normal person needs to eat an enormous amount of protein or supplements if they are maintaining a healthy diet.
-
Rainstorm93Health forward fitness podcastI have been a certified personal trainer for 7 years and LOVE this podcast! The fitness industry has sadly become such a scam and now anyone on social media with abs can spout anything they want. Tony and Marianna definitely care about their listeners and make sure people are taking care of their HEALTH not just “getting shredded”. Thank you guys!
-
WVUGAL08Best Fitness Podcast there isI am trying to get back into shape after being pregnant on and off for the last 4 years and this podcast gave me so much knowledge. I have tried listening to a dozen or so others but this one is, BY FAR, the best!
-
felicidyThis podcast is addictiveThis podcast is addictive (metaphorically speaking). Every episode is packed with so much information and analysis, I feel like I am constantly learning while listening to this. Tony and Mariana do an excellent job of breaking things down in language that everyone can understand, while still incorporating scientific explanations and citing a ton of research. I love how they go in depth on every topic they discuss and provide actual reputable and factual information. I have felt pretty stupid a couple of times while listening to this because of some of the health trends I fell to in the past that are not even remotely backed by science. Thanks to FS, I now feel a lot more knowledgeable and confident in my health and fitness. It is challenging to decide which episode to listen to next because every topic is so applicable and interesting to me. And Tony and Mariana, you would be so proud of how I have elevated my sleep, step count, HRV, and protein intake thanks to you guys :)
-
a user 98789Grain of salt…Folks seem to enjoy the spunk from these two and find relief in a lot of what they’re saying. My concern is that people might trust them. While they speak with certainty, they’re clearly, clearly, clearly dabbling in and getting riled up about topics they don’t understand. Zero original thought, btw, they just bring up meta-analyses their audience hasn’t read to base their whole nuance-lacking ‘take.’ They come across as 2 kids who were maybe able to complete their communications degrees before teaming up to talk about health. Glad some folks enjoy and find these convo starters refreshing, just remember to take everything they’re saying (like their commentary/reliance on a meta-analysis backing their whole take on any given topic) with a grain of salt.
-
SwaggersaurusDelightfulStraight up, to the point, backed by research, and delivered in an accessible and retainable format
-
YourFavoriteJocelynStraight to the pointI absolutely love listening to this podcast. Tony and Marianna have an amazing dynamic and make it fun to listen to! Since listening, I’ve stopped being so scared of food, exercising, and most importantly stopped believing in certain myths that have made diet and exercise so difficult! I’ve finally started seeing progress towards my goals!
-
Backpack0386Love this podcastTony and Marianna do a great job of providing a simple way to learn about fitness and how to go about being healthier. Love listening to them.
-
NebraskanickyGruntingI like the info, but the background grunting is annoying. Like the whole time she is talking, we can hear the guy going “mmm”.
-
melccrt456Great InformationBest easy to understand educational information I’ve found! I listen to lots of educational podcasts and these two bring us great info and present and organize the data so we’ll. Please don’t stop 😁
-
N/A 👍🏼Poor, poor, poor.I am a PhD student studying one of the topics featured in an episode. After I heard the hosts say multiple incorrect statements, I took to Instagram to DM them both about addressing the misinformation. I was then blocked by both hosts. I have stopped listening to the pod. Take what these people say with a grain of salt, because they speak about certain topics with certainty, when it is not close to their domain.
-
Dharun2308Love the research and evidence based approachResearch and evidence are important but always listen to your body and your physician. Great work. Thanks for busting the myths and providing useful information!
-
Amscray AsteredbayListen. Listen and Learn. This is an excellent, evidence-based podcast that actually cites studies. Yikes. I mean - who wants information derived from long-term research when clearly they way to go is to check your Insta feed for the most up-to-date diet and exercise advice from influencers who think “peer-reviewed” means when their friends leave a comment on Rotten Tomatoes. Anyway, they had me when Marianna flat-lined Carnivore M.D. Really well done.
-
HavinagoodtimwFacts Myths Science - Love it allI dig the angle of this podcast, I see it as influencers on instagram… debunking influencers on instagram… (not a dig, much love) I really like the approach, the research and supporting evidence. I also like how excited they are about the topics. Topics and Hosts seem to support living a healthy lifestyle rather than super extreme in either way - dieting or exercise. Any way - Give it a listen, its all good.
-
SarbearrrrrEveryone should be listeningI just want everyone to listen to this because it’s so informative and factual!
-
LisaJoannFitnessY’all are…..Better than Mind Pump 🤯 I’ve been following on TikTok and now found your podcast. I have to say, I’m impressed. I’m a trainer and nutritionist for now over 25 years. Thanks for keeping things simple in an industry that has gone awry with quacks. I love the Mind Pump guys too, but now have a second podcast to enjoy 😊
-
Kbrowder123Great content and hostsThe content is easy to understand they at Tony and Mariana break it down. Always a great listen.
-
