Again, Chuck made a podcast (Zombies) with excellent information simply unbearable. Had to turn it off in the middle. If he gets a laugh, he believes its license to ruin the moment by continuing until no one laughs anymore.

That intro blew my mind! I did not expect that…but I’m not complaining. I’m writing a comic series and I think I’ll be using this guy when working out mechanics for the universe! (Ps, I love Neil’s laugh, it makes me so happy for some reason) 😁

Learning, Laughing, = Recommending!

Neil is always making jokes about his guests Answers and not letting them talk - it makes it very awkward. But he has time to answer and no one makes fun of him. He meeds to work on being more respectful to his guests I have listened to this for years and don’t want to anymore the conversations are overdone by trying to be funny.

I’m learning while being entertained. Plus, NDG is my fave!

Really love this show. The topics are so fascinating. It’s especially helpful when they frame it away that makes it accessible and interesting to the average person. But they also do a good job of balancing deeper science. Neil is very human and approachable, and even if some of his, and Chuck’s, jokes are a little corny at times, that’s totally fine, as it makes it enjoyable experience. I always look forward to the next episode. Thank you for the great work!

Great, love the podcast. The people that hate it sometimes have stupid reasons. Others have valid ones. Still really like the podcast.

Think about black holes like this: you (light) and your friend (gravity) are walking to school (black hole) you walk through one way doors only allowing you and your friend.

This podcast has incredible content and brilliant guests with a knowledgeable host BUT it is ruined many times by the pervasive jokes. Constantly Neil interrupts his guests just to make somewhat funny jokes. This podcast needs some laughter in order to lighten the heavy tough to digest material but the sheer number of bad jokes and interruptions really distract from the wealth of information these guests are bringing to the show. Please dial down the jokes so the rest of us can learn. Thank you.

I paid for premium to access new episodes early, but the last 3 episodes are all the exact same audio, with different titles. I doubt malicious intent, but why pay & receive nothing? Fix it!

Love the host and guests, but got tired of hosts trying to be funny and make jokes out of anything. No one wants a lecture, however, as someone who works at making nutrition presentations digestible, all puns intended, I would have liked the side comments cut in half. On the other hand, they are way more popular than me.

Ahead of a recent roadtrip, I downloaded all podcasts in this series. The early ones were great. The later content caused me to delete the entire library. When the expert guests must keep the podcast on track, your sophomoric “comedy” has caused you to jump through shark. I, for one, listen for the science, not the inane babble.

Telling stories about exploring doesn’t get any better than when three middle-school boys, disguised as accomplished men, share their love of and respect for the cosmos and their passion to learn all they can from it and from each other.

I decided to listen to learn a few things. Didn’t realize I was also going to entertained with so much comedy. So great. Keep it up.

The rapport of Chuck and Neil is perfect. And Chuck just generally makes me laugh; he makes this podcast as humorous as it is educational. Thank you, guys!

The topics and content is always so enjoyable but chuck NEEEEDS to please stop contributing. It is not funny and I can feel how uncomfortable the guests are.

Sometimes Neil we want to hear the guest talk. We know you are smart.

What is the point of having guests if they’re talked over and interrupted? Please let them finish their thoughts and let them share in the expertise in whatever they are here to talk about. There’s room for all of us to shine.

Love the show and Neil but I wish Neil wouldn’t interrupt so much and let the guests finish their sentences so we could learn more about what they have to say. That’s why they’re there after all…

Long time listener and had to write this. The yelling from Chuck is so ridiculous, talking over guest and he is just not funny. Lately I cannot listen to the whole podcast.

This podcast should be mandatory. He explains things in such an interesting way that even I can understand it! Big Bang theory!

Quite possibly the best podcast on astronomy, astrophysics, and science in general. Long-running too, so tons of backlog content. NdT is one of the best teachers of our time, making this podcast both entertaining and educational. After listening to this from the very beginning, alas, it’s time to say goodbye. Too many podcasts these days, and can only focus on those relevant to my work, so unfortunately this needs to be cut. But, if you have even a passing interest in science, you need to give this a listen!

Neil is an unbiased objective viewer of scientific truth. That’s the highest place in the scientific realm. I do wish it was more focused on cutting edge research paper (citations), thanks!

But please allow your guests to finish a thought. There have been some very interesting people on here and I feel like we miss out when their train of thought is interrupted and then you move on to another question or topic. It’s a little frustrating and makes the show less enjoyable to listen to. Please allow some more runway for your guests! Thank you.

The content is always great and Neil’s cosmic perspectives are always appreciated. However, I’ve noticed ads for gambling apps and online casinos in recent episodes. I’m sure like many podcasts these days, you all don’t do direct ads sales. But I don’t think that gets you off the hook for what you’re representing. I’m also sure you know that these apps are a cash grab that’s harming the stupid, ignorant, and addicted. I can’t imagine this is what you intend to be promoting. I’d love to see it fixed.

We already have fusion power. No need to build a factory, no need for transmission lines and it is free! We call it the sun, just add photo panels. So simple…..are we over looking this solution?

Neil brings in excellent guests but the podcast has fundamental flaws. Some episodes have a comedian as cohost. Those episodes are mostly terrible IMO because the comedians add no value and usually miss the mark with their humor. He also ruined two episodes about one of my favorite movies, Interstellar. When Neil interviewed Kip Thorne he was unprepared and misremembered details from the film. When he interviewed Christopher Nolan he only shared about 10 minutes from a 45-minute interview. Instead of airing the entire interview, he had a comedian and Janna Levin share their thoughts about interview clips in a live audience podcast taping. What a waste!

Love to listen butttt.. Neil’s gotta stop cutting people off and let them finish what they have to say.. when Chuck nice is the cohost I always listen; I think he makes the show.

I enjoy this show, but it is essentially a NDG monologue. He rarely allows the guests to complete their thoughts, but he always completes his. He should just turn it into a show where him and Lord Nice talk because we don’t get much more than sound bites from guests like Brian Cox.

He seems like a nice guy, and a great producer. He’s not really great on the show though. Otherwise, it’s awesome! Thanks so much

Hey Chuck, Hey Neil. Love the show I give 5 stars! I do want to know… I bought tickets for my son and I to see Neil at an auditorium in April. Is this a scam? I don’t recall hearing any promotion of this tour. Therefore I’m second guessing my purchase. Am I going to get there, and it’s actually a sock puppet show? Can we get some clarification here? I’m super excited about it, but I’d rather have my bubble popped before I make the drive. Thank you. Ps if I can ever afford it I’ll become a patron! For sure😁

I love when science is the topic and you have fun talking about it. Most of the guest are great (loved hearing Queen Latifa who seems like an amazing person). Neil seems cool but I’m pretty sure he’s covering up a massive narcissistic ego. Bill Nye, who I loved as a child, is trash. He tries to come off as funny (it doesn’t work) while he spends his time talking down to people. I’m still in fairly early episodes, getting close to pre-first term Trump, and already they’re letting their stupid and out of touch politics seep into the show in their annoying, fart box sniffing way. Chuck is not funny nearly as often as he thinks he is. *sigh* I can’t wait for the fun in the next few episodes when Trump wins and hear them crying into their big vajayjays.

I just listened to the Michelle Nichols episode. I almost skipped it completely because I didn’t think it would be the content I was expecting, and it was not. It was fantastic! I watched Star Trek later in the late 80s early 90s and from a different perspective. I didn’t realize how moving and generational her role was. I can’t stop thinking about the long-term effects from her role. I don’t even know what else to say. Thanks for sharing.
