    Awesome Show
Marty and Tony are great hosts and long time friends that do an amazing job with their board game podcast. I like how they mix on board game adjacent topics like lawncare and southern cooking as well. Taste buds is also a great segment to break up the board game talk and banter. I’ve discovered new snacks and drinks galore from listening including grape pop-tarts and all kinds of soda flavors. Always look forward to each episode. Thanks “gentleman”.

    Essential Board Game Podcast!
This is a must listen to board game podcast for any modern board game enthusiast. And actually I really enjoy the non-board gaming discussions quite a bit. Marty & Tony are always engaging and I look forward to every episode even though I don’t play the kinds of games that they play. Thumbs up, way up!

Boardgames, squirrels & Moonpies oh my
Two great guys that have known each other for decades talking about the games they love, hate, and everything in between...squirrel!...and Moonpies, and life, lawnmowers, and everything.

    Fun Show, Awesome Hosts
While they don't take themselves too seriously, Tony and Marty are serious about what they like and don't like when it comes to boardgames, and are obviously great friends, to boot. The Five-Minute Initiatives and Flying Squirrels segments are great for getting a quick sense of a game, while the Scurry Report and longer reviews provide for a more detailed look at gameplay and strategies. Diversions about food and lawn mowers notwithstanding, trequent industry guests demonstrate the true reach of this pair within the boardgame community. Their Squirrelly Awards show is an annual reminder of that, as well as a hilarious celebration of their self-deprecating humor.

    One of The Best
If you’re looking for a Boardgame podcast, look no further than here. Marty and Tony are great fun to listen to. They discuss all kinds of board games ( and occasional food, lawnmowers snd music). Once, when I asked my daughter what Boardgame podcast she wanted to listen to on the way to school, she said “The one about the diapers”. Seriously, I look forward to every episode.

    Great show!
This show is just funny! These guys cover lots of topics. Board games get discussed in their recent plays segment and some games get a closer look in their 5 Minute Initiatives. They also interview some of the biggest names in game design; Martin Wallace, Klaus Teuber, Eric Lang, Rob Daviau, and more! Other topics include digital implementation of board games, food, a little pop culture, and running jokes about lawn care and squirrels. Definitely worth checking out!

    Don’t miss an episode!
One of the best lawn care podcasts in all of iTunes, plus you get witty Southern banter about food and films and board games, too. If you are curious at all about whether dice should be called “gladiators”, then tune in every other week to Marty and Tony’s show and find out!

    Ocassionally insightful
Great podcast with a couple of jokers who periodically discuss boardgames. The comfort food of boardgame podcasts.

    Amazing!
Tony and Marty are amazing! Not only are they experts on tabletop gaming, but also lawn care! I have listened to these guys for years, they are funny, insightful, and the most genuinely good folks I have met in our hobby. Without equivocation, this is the best gaming podcast available.
  • Muffinpuppy
    Love this podcast!
I love this podcast, the two hosts (Tony and Marty) are obviously good friends who are super enthusiastic about the hobby and put together a charming, funny, and informative show. I enjoy their banter and don't mind when they get sidetracked by other topics (LAWNMOWERS), it makes them more relatable and entertaining, and their excitement over the games they love is contagious.

Deep, comprehensive review... or random thoughts, either way
Just some good ol’ boys Never mean in’ no harm Yada yada yada Board games! Great show, laid back talk about gaming and lawn mowers. What more could you want?

    More than background noise!
Tony and Marty, and their various guests, put on a great show. I learn about games, gaming news, the game industry, and random trivia like lawnmowers. They are the NPR of gaming podcasts, full of interesting sound bites that keep me coming back for more. Like NPR, I feel each time I listen to an RTDN podcast I learn something and get a good laugh as well.

Great chemistry and some unique southern flair to spice up the game chatter.
If you’re looking for dry analysis or by-the-numbers tabletop talk, look elsewhere. These guys are funny, positive, and — oh yeah — also know a lot about games. One of my must-listens.

    Fantastic Podcast!
Marty and Tony are fantastic! Their banter and humor make this podcast a joy to listen to. One of my favorites! I like the 5 minute initiative reviews, the longer reviews and their inside knowledge of the board game industry. Highly recommend!!!

    Real People
I love listening to Marty and Tony. 2 guys talking about games, and a bunch of other stuff (which is a nice change). They sound just like people in my game group, very relatable, and even if I don’t agree, I can understand where they are coming from. Besides, where else can you go to find out which lawn mower a famous designer uses? Put them on your regular rotation!
  • Kent_p1313
    Neat Show!
This Podcast is extremely entertaining and filled with humor. Tony and Marty discuss many different topics such as lawnmowers, squirrels, food, and much more while also covering many of the latest board games. Their hilarious banter (that I imagine comes from being friends for so many years) combined with their great enthusiasm and behind the mic chemistry keeps me listening. As a bonus they often have guests on the show which could range from their friends and family members to the biggest names in the board game industry. You would be NUTS to skip this show and its neat take on boardgames and everything else!
  • Gaming Mike
    Best informal hobby gaming podcast
Marty and Tony really make a listener feel like they have pulled up a chair to chat with old friends over games and lawnmowers and squirrels and whatever is rattling around their brains. Always a delight to listen, keep up the great work!

    Stopped listening
Every year the gaming content declines to the point they made the very factual comment: “we’re half way through an episode and haven’t talked about a game.” They apparently have thin skins because they run any negative commentary into the ground. They devoted a segment of an episode to snarking a review line by line. Every episode they mention the apt “background noise of podcasts” comment. And there’s the intro lawn care segment which is wildly off topic and also a contributor to climate change. Not comedic, not inclusive. Just a mess compared to a formerly decent podcast about… wait for it… board games.
  • KevlarUmbrella
    talk about board games
These jokers spend most of there episodes talking about everything but board games. I don't want to hear about your cable bill, or what flavor of tea you like. When they bother to mention the tabletop hobby they have NOTHING NEW to offer news or opnion wise. These guys are the worst the Dice Tower has to offer. Sad!
  • WolverIanSC
    Comedic and Informative
Tony and Marty are great hosts! Whether it’s talking about the newest board game releases, a movie, or lawnmowers they don’t disappoint in bringing some laughs to the conversation. I also got to meet them at a convention last year and they are some of the most humble guys you could meet.
  • ForeverCubePushin
    Infotainment!
Come for informative gaming content in a laid back atmosphere, stay for Tony's lawnmower odyssey.
  • ArborBarber
    Gaming goofballs
These guys are charming enough, but I need more in a gaming podcast. Like, why would I play one game instead of another? What’s the comparison between games? How interesting are their mechanics? These guys don’t really provide that.
  • McRell_Game_Night
    Relatable Guys
I started to listen to the show from the Dice Tower and really enjoyed the view on games. The guys are more relatable to me and it is nice to see a different demographic than other podcasts I listen to. They seem like more of an every man type. I saw them in passing at a con now. I wish I had more time to say hi.
  • JR04068
    Great friendly relaxed pod
I enjoy the laid back, relaxed, just two buddies talking feel of this podcast. It’s what I enjoy from all of my board game podcasts, and these two guys clearly are good friends beyond this. It doesn’t feel forced and they feel quite unique instead of some stereotypical profile of over excited board game podcaster trying to hard to be exciting. Keep up the entertaining work.

These guys are great, Marty and the other Guy are a fun listen. Highly recommended. Only if they had some better guests on, like that dashing and charismatic gentleman for BPPP. Robb is it? Yeah he is the best. But these guys are also the best. More like a tie for the best. Just listen to them.
  • rabidteamleader
One of my fave gaming podcasts!!
These guys are great. They talk about a wide variety of games/types and all the opinions feel genuine. New episodes go to the top of my listen list!
  • DrSpunj
    Great times!
I was hooked with my first listen. These guys are easy going, long time friends that I would love to have at my game table anytime to play games and just shoot the breeze. They are obviously enjoying themselves which gets me laughing frequently both with them & sometimes at them. ;)

Like sipping tea on the back porch
The hosts Marty and Tony bring a very comfortable, easy to listen to slant to their board gaming podcast. In addition to covering the latest gaming hotness as you’d expect, you may find them talking about food, songs, or movies, or just arguing in a good natured way. This may not be for some hardcore gamers who want to get straight to the point, but for people looking to hear about gaming in a relaxing manner this is well worth your time.

    Great Gaming Show!
These two guys are just your average guys next door and they love to talk about games and MORE. Don't let the MORE part keep you away, though. Great personalies, great voices, great enthusiasm! Give it a listen - you'll enjoy it! #southernbrothers

Great show with just the right amount of humor and really interesting interviews with smart unique questions.

A favorite in the gaming podcast rotation
One of the varying reviews out there with a nice twist on the podcast. I think this podcast could really go to the net level with the addition of Suzanne as a full time cast member with Tony and Marty. Moonpies, Squirrels, and great insight to gamers and (slight) RPG mentions.

    Upon first listen
These guys have great energy and rapport. It's exciting to hear their excitement about games.

    Good, Clean, Fun!
Love these guys and the show. Very friendly and responsive to their fans. Love the ratio of good useful information to show length. Give this one a try for sure!

    RD&TN Podcast rocks
Tony & Marty are two friends who walk you through board games and the industry. I love the flying squirrel section which includes a short topic discussion.
  • DDream80
    Wonderful podcast
Great show! I appreciate their playful banter and honesty about their reviews. I listen to every episode.
  • Sambeibei
    Relax and funny
One of my favorite podcasts for my morning commute. Totally ease that crazy LA traffic out of me. All games they reviewed and gaming info are all up to date. Love it!
  • The Welcoming Elitist
    What a surprise!
The first time I listened to these guys the episode started with a lady talking about Squirrels, Moon Pies, and -- I stopped listening before I could find out what else. I'm so happy that I ran out of other podcasts before the end of the week, because when I came back to it, I LOVED it. They two hosts give valuable perspective on games and related content. They also disagree with each other when reviewing games which helps me identify a good fit for me. It's the first podcast I listen too when it's released. Congrats on episode 100 --The Welcoming Elitist
  • PostPapi
    Love these guys!
The podcast feels like hanging out with a couple of old friends. Tony and Marty stay up to date on what's happening in the board game industry and community. Their passion for boardgames is infectious. The show is also clean and family friendly which is refreshing. I also like their loose format, you never know what you are going to get from show to show but it is never dull. Love these guys!

Amazing amount of excitement for the hobby
'Watch me pull a rabbit outta my hat...oops gotta get a new hat" ... These guys are great fun to listen to. Knowledgeable in all aspects of the hobby and great reviewers. I have personally tracked down several games after listening to their play reviews. Even when they have a connection to the publisher/designer they are not afraid to tell us what they really think about the game. As a disciple of the new I try to gather as much info as possible before a purchase, "Rolling dice and taking names" is one of my first stops! Keep up the great work!

    A superior podcast
I've been a producer and designer for over 15 years, and I know that keeping something entertaining and maintaining a routine schedule is no easy task. The Rolling Dice and Taking Names crew do this incredibly well, and make it sound so effortless. This is testimony to their skill at their craft. They are also some of the nicest people you're likely to meet. Just looking at how they intereact with people on social media, in videos, and through their show, and how everyone people respond to them, says a lot. Their show is informative, funny, entertaining, and enlightening. They are one of our top go-to podcasts for a reason. They consistantly delivery top-notch entertainment.
  • Oneofpeace
    Great guys
These guys are fun to listen to as well as interact with. They are so responsive in the board game community between their BGG guild, Facebook and Twitter. They do not follow a standard format so be warned. But you can tell they love people and the hobby.

    Moon Pies and Good Times
RDTN is consistently entertaining and informative! Fun segments like "Chit Chat" and "Rank 'Em" keep things fresh.

    Keep it rolling (and taking)!
I love RDTN! I was wanting a new podcast to listen to, and decided to give Marty & Tony a try. I'm so glad that I did! I love their reviews, and I find that I usually agree with their preferred types of games, as well. Their shows are always entertaining and informative, with great guests, good discussions and some humor too. Not only that; they are clean, which seems to be becoming a rarity in a lot of internet media, so I really appreciate that they keep it clean & family friendly. The audio is of great quality and the shows are well produced and put together. My personal favorite segment is "Flying Squirrels". Tony and Marty are friendly in social media and welcome you to interact with them, as well. All in all, great guys to support and a wonderful podcast to listen to! Download and enjoy!

    2 friends, 1 awesome podcast
Rolling Dice and Taking Names is 2 buddies Tony and Marty and their take on the tabletop hobby. These guys are funny, informative and have great discussions about games and occasional movies, shows and whatnot. Tony may not always have his information in front of him but Marty comes in with a save and the appreciation for his professionalism is always appreciated by the flummoxed Tony. Likewise, Tony is always ready with another view when Marty discussions various ideas and opinions on great games. Highly suggested podcast for all who enjoy tabletop gaming!

Great all around board game podcast
Found the podcast through twitter feeds and BGG links. Evident that these guys have been gaming pals for a while and the southern influence from NC brings me back to my college days. Pretty in depth gaming discussion and variety of industry influences in each episode. Thanks guys!
  • Cystron7
    Fun and informative
