    Loving this podcast!
I recently finished watching LHOP and was very excited to find this podcast and it didn’t disappoint! Great listen!

    I needed this!
Thank you, John Hernandez! I just started listening last week, once I found it too depressing to listen to my political podcasts. Yes! This is it. I haven’t been so soothed and entertained by a podcast since escaping to Lake Wobegon. I’m excited to see that you really committed and are going the distance on this show. I can’t wait to hear your take on all the later seasons. This is an absolute joy.

    This is an awesome podcast
I have been watching Little House on the Prairie my entire life, but I'm totally blind. it is a lot of fun listening to this podcast and actually getting the visuals that I've never seen before even though I've seen these episodes lots of times. So I am having a lot of fun with this. Thank you.

    A comforting podcast
I love John’s double entendres and wise cracks as he breaks down each episode of Little House. A great niche podcast hosted by a kind soul. John is very responsive when emailing as well. Stay cool, John!

    Comfort!
LHOTP was my comfort show growing up, and this is my comfort podcast now! John, I love love love the podcast, and love your presentation!! Best coincidence, I have a close, sweet friend, who decided to take up aerial!! Love to hear you mention your aerial experiences, it honestly makes me feel close to my friend. I was born in ‘73, right before the show started. I watched it in syndication my whole life though. I’m always struck by how incredibly difficult life was on the prairie. I love your recaps. Thank you for doing this PERFECTLY. Love you John!!

A must listen for any LHOP fan!
I love the mixture of research, humor, pop culture, and pure 70s/80s nostalgia John brings into every episode. I don’t have access to the series but I enjoy “watching” it on this podcast. John is a born and gifted storyteller and I look forward to each new episode!

    Insightful and Entertaining
John is a brilliant receiver of information. He excels at reflecting upon the episode and instead of simply retelling the storyline he gives tremendous thought and insight in order to deliver each podcast in a way that is entertaining to a modern audience. I also began watching Little House during the pandemic because it has a magical way of creating comfort. By the end of the theme song I am lulled into a Xanax like state (even when I haven’t taken a Xanax) and sun faded memories of watching the cabin details and noticing clothing differences as when I first watched the series as a toddler in the 80’s. Ok… mostly I played with Masters of the Universe while it played in the background of my great grandmother’s parlor but I remember being enamored with any scene featuring Harriet Oleson’s theatrics . It is a total blast catching up on Little House, and I appreciate the unapologetic darkness that people experienced on the Prairie. Upon checking out one of the Little House books from my local library I said to the librarian “Walnut Grove has killed off more kids than Elm Street ever attempted ” and luckily she was cool and we shared a laugh. I am now on season 6 episode 13, and look forward to your podcast every week because it’s tough to find others with whom you can discuss Little House, and I appreciate your weekly opinions and feedback. Thank you!!

    What a delight
Your voice rivals the soothing sounds of Dateline’s Keith Morrison. It is a delight to listen to your retelling of a classic TV favorite. I discovered LHOTP as an adult, never watched it as a child of the 70s. That precious one TV household time was reserved for The Six Million Dollar Man and Love Boat. Now I have seen all episodes at least a dozen times and will always stop and watch if I come across it while channel surfing. In fact, it was what I was watching when the planes hit the twin towers on 911. Your podcast is the perfect break when true crime gets to be a bit much. Thank you!

    Michael Landon’s bare torso
Thanks for this delightful podcast. I was never a “Little House” fan, but my younger sister was and given we were not allowed to watch much TV, it was “Little House” or nothing. These gentle (and hilarious) reviews often reference the same things that bugged me as a kid. Michael Landon’s shirtless torso in every show used to annoy me, I now know what a draw it was/is for some. I hope never to have to watch the show (or hunky torso) again, but am addicted to this podcast. Go figure….

    So fun!
I absolutely love going through the episodes again through the eyes of a newbie! Loved the books as a kid, visited the sites during family vacays! And loved watching the reruns! Thank you John for renewing my love of this show!

    My favorite podcast
Thank you, John, for this podcast. It is truly enjoyable. Love that you have never seen Little House before. Your recaps are thorough and well spoken. Please refrain from sexual innuendos. This is a clean podcast. Please continue to share any research you have discovered about each episode, and I love your final comments regarding each episode. The music is perfect and please never change it. It is calming, as is your voice, and your sense of humor is so entertaining. I look forward to each of your podcast episodes and enjoy hearing about your personal life as well and how it relates to each episode. Thank you for all your hard work creating this excellent podcast.
